I had a great stay at Basildene Manor. The staff bent over backwards to make us comfortable. The hot water system broke down during our stay and the systems they had in place for these emergencies were terrific. They even offered to pay for our stay elsewhere. The system was repaired ASAP, despite the stormy weekend. The grounds are picturesque, with resident ducks and rabbits, and kangaroos in the neighbouring plot.
The Manor is well positioned for Margaret River exploring and close to the main shopping strip for food and other goodies.
We left at 5am this morning and the manager woke up at some crazy hour to bake us some scones! What a wonderful person! I would happily recommend this place to anyone and I hope to return one day.

Room ("Pinot") was very clean and spacious and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and the grounds are immaculate. Location is very convenient to nearby wineries and the town itself. Highlight is probably the quality and range of breakfast with a great selection of fruits ( fresh and poached ) and great quality cooked to order meals. No problems recommending this place

We stayed at Basildene Manor as a family group of 6 and without exception we throughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly with very good suggestions for eating in the nearby town of Margaret River. They were more than happy to help with bookings and arranging a 'maxi taxi' to take us to Leeuwin Estate for a family lunch. There was a very good choice at breakfast with food cooked to order, and the view from the conservatory was lovely. On departure the final extra touch was a well presented pack of two freshly baked scones.

Room Tip: 'Chardonnay' on the ground floor is a good king size, 'Semillion' is a suite on the...

We recently stayed at the manor as we are Accor members and the only choice in Margaret river. Upon arrival we were shown to our room, which was a suite, would have loved one over looking the gardens, but we had a courtyard looking at nothing.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, no movie channel though, which I thought Accor would have sorted. The first night we filled the bath only to find luke warm water so was boiling the jug for some hot water.
We had booked for four nights only stayed three, the room was nice and homey just not enough freedom for me. Eg laundry closes at seven, no cooking if you just want toast for breaky, and traffic noise did get to you after a while.
We booked out with the second in charge who we had not met before, the manager was in the office when we were leaving but did not come out and say goodbye, which says it in a nutshell, you run a small manor, but don't treat it like so, i think thats really rude, especially when the manager was the one who had booked us in.
Being in retail customer service is everything.

Room Tip: One overlooking the gardens

My friend treated my very tired husband and myself to a night at Basildene Manor. It was absolutely delightful. THe young lady Juliette on reception who greeted us couldn't have been more lovely. She gave us a guided tour of the facilities and a brief history of the building and then showed us to our room. The staff were all wonderful. The rooms wonderfully clean and though done out in modern tones they perfected a fine balance between old and new and the decor really worked with the building.
Such a comfortable bed and great attention to detail. I would thoroughly recommend this place. One of the loveliest places I have stayed. Beautiful breakfast and gorgeous views from the breakfast room. Will definately be returning. Wish we could have stayed longer. Next time we will!!

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor room if you don't like climbing stairs. The balconey was beautiful with a...

We spent a delightful week at Basildene Manor, a beautifully maintained old home with magnificent gardens. Breakfast each morning looking out over the gardens and watching the ducks and rabbits whilst enjoying a cooked breakfast was a treat. The staff cannot do enough to help you and the nice gift of scones on departure just completed a wonderful stay.
