I must say i was expecting a lot of this place as i had read such good reviews but it did live up to all of the hype. We went to watch the surfing competition that was on and found that we were ideally located. We were just in between prevelly beach and the town. Unfortunately we didn't get to see any kangaroos like other reviewers had mentioned seeing. This may have been because the dam was round the corner from our chalet where i assume they came out at night and morning. The chalet itself was very clean and modern with all things you would need in a self catering chalet. The only thing i would point on is that we went with two young son's and they we were a bit lost on the evenings as there weren't any toys at the chalet, a box of toys brought out for guests with children ay be an idea and the tv channels were quite limited with no children's channel, not that we we in all the time, definitely not with such lovely places to see in margaret river, just would have been ideal on the evenings. The only other thing was that the weather had started cooling down when we got there, there was only the one reverse air con/heater in the living area, there was no heating in the bedrooms/ensuites so it felt a bit chilly when having shower. I read that there were electric blankets, but didn't see any on the children's beds, maybe these are brought out in winter. Otherwise a lovely stay and definitely better than anywhere else we've stayed in margaret river, i would just question whether we would stay there in the cold of winter, but please don't let that put you off.

I've just had an amazing 5 night stay at Acacia Chalets, it's definately my spot from now on...I'll be re-booking for future trips down south & am pleased I won't have to go through any more hit and miss accomodation!
The photos are exactly as the Chalets look. Everything was clean, neat & welcoming with new appliances and everything you could possibly need. (I particulary loved the beautiful, large fluffy rugs stashed away at the top of every cupboard for some couch time!) Nice touches like tealight candles on the table made it all feel very homey.
It didn't at all feel too far from town, only a quick drive up the road for supplies but far enough away to give you the peace and quiet of the bush, with the kangaroos feeding every evening and birds splashing in the bird bath each afternoon just off our balcony. Caves road also right there gave us easy access to wineries, caves, children's attractions etc.
Lauren & Kim were so warm & welcoming without being intrusive. I'll be interested to see how easy it will be to book there in the future, I can't imagine anyone who stays there won't want to return!

With 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom attached, this place was great for us (we are 2 couples traveling together). Its clean and cosy, really value for money!!

Our stay in MR was pretty short and we were out most of the time. I wished we had more time to bum around the chalet. Nevertheless, in our short stay, we had a good time - the best part for us was using the bbq pit and kitchen preparing for dinner.

This really delivered what was promised in previous reviews. An easy 5-10 minute drive into Margaret River. Facilities were excellent and the whole chalet was spotless. Lovely balcony where I could have spent the whole week relaxing. Very quiet and fragrant from the surrounding gum trees and also occasional visits from the local kangaroo population. Hosts are great and welcoming and extras are all there including free wifi. Very close to attractions: spending a day on the morning tour at the Voyager estate and an afternoon at Hamelin Bay has to be close to perfection. Having checked other accommodations in MR I found Acacia to be very competitive. Having actually stayed there, I think it was even better value. Try it: you won't regret it.

We stayed for one week in a very comfortable, well-equipped chalet that overlooked a pond that was visited by various wildlife. It was very quiet and peaceful. Lauren and Kim, our hosts, were very responsive to our needs and provided us with information and suggestions for exploring the area. It is located just a few minutes from the town of Margaret River and the most fantastic beaches we've ever visited. It is in the middle of many wineries with cellar doors and restaraunts. We highly recommend staying at Acacia Chalets!
