My wife and I had never been to Margaret River before and beleive we made the best choice when we selected James & Joanne's beautiful B & B in Yates Road Margaret River.
From the welcome we received on arrival and the friendship our hosts bestowed on us was very special.
Often you find something special at a B&B, like the decor in the rooms, proximity of B&B to all the attractions, friendliness of the hosts, food and overall atmosphere of the establishment...... This B&B has it all.
James' cooking was unbelievable and I think, combined with Joanne's conversation, it made our start to each day very stimulated and gave us the warm glow in our tummy prior to visiting all the Wineries and other atrractions.

As a Tourist advisor, James' suggestions on where to visit was also "spot on".

We also took advantage of James' Winery Tour where we left our car and James drove us around and took us to some of the "lesser known" wineries and restaurants.

We have already recommended this establishment to some other tourists we met in Phuket....
Esther & I will definitley be back to visit and hope to be able to stay with them again.

My husband and I stayed here early May 2011 to attend a friends wedding in Margaret River. We found the rooms very comfortable and tastefully decorated, liked the scented candles and locally made soap! As I was not in the wedding party, the hosts offered me a lift down the road to the wedding and even offered me a glass of wine before we left! We really liked the breakfasts, we thought they were delicious and certainly left you only needing a light and late lunch. Comfortable and cosy beds. All in all we had a lovely three nights and it has certainly inspired us to go "down south" again soon!

Where do we start!
Margaret River at its very best, great location, great hosts, exceptional food, Exquisit decor, Luxurious bath products all set on several acres of private woodland and minutes away from vineyards and shops.
Our hosts James and Joanne are extremely welcoming and personable from the minute we arrived. Our room was spotlessly clean, well laid out with soft bed linen of great quality. Being setback from the road, the peace and quiet was only broken by the sweet sounds of singing birds and the crashing of the distance sea while sitting outside enjoying some local wine in the evening. Our bathroom had a Spa bath with Luxurious bath products to complement. Just being minutes away from Margaret River town and just off of Caves road there are Restaurants, take aways, Excellent Beaches and not forgetting Vineyards all close by.
James presented our breakfast every morning which was nothing less than a delight to experience and enjoy with specials each day being different. Fresh fruit to start with yogurt, local granary and fruit toasted bread with sweet and savoury purees and jams followed by special omelettes with swiss cheese and sauteed mushrooms. With Orange juice, potts of tea and fresh coffee served by Joanne we were waited on exceptionally well and oh yes one or two muffins if we had room, our day was setup fully charged.
The chat at breakfast was great and the other guests were delightful too.
As you can guess I would suggest staying here when next in Margaret river, you will not be disappointed.
Thanks Joanne and James for a lovely stay.

You will not be disappointed with this beautiful place!! Joanna and James are the hosts with the mostest. It's no wonder they have won the 2011 best accommodation Trip Adviser Award because there would be nothing we could fault about the weekend stay we had.
I'm still dreaming about the persian feta and crispy bacon omlette I had for breakfast......yummo! The hardest decision you will have to make is when are you going to book your next stay??
Waking up with the wildlife signing to you every morning you can't help but go inot a very destressed and relaxed state.

I take my hat off to you Jo & James for providing a top qulity and above class accommodation. Love, love,love.....

Spent 2 nights with James and Joanna and really really didn't want to leave! Everything about the accommodation is wonderful including breakfast! It was everything we hoped for and more. How often do you find ourselves out for dinner with your hosts and the rest of the guests? It really was like being on holidays with friends, albeit instant ones! We will definitely be back. We only have one complaint.....James, sending us to Woodlands was a really bad idea...the credit card is looking rather sick after that! :)

We were discussing we will have to bring over a good Tassie or Yarra Valley Pinot Noir for you to try next time we are over...providing we can convince you to cook dinner. :)

Room Tip: All rooms are great!

This was our second trip to Margaret River, and I'm so glad we found Llewellin's. Photos of the house from the outside honestly doesn't look overly impressive, but once you walk in to the living area and then to the rooms, you get a warm and cosy vibe that only grows throughout your stay.

James and Joanna are the greatest hosts, and James whips up a wonderful breakfast - don't try to go on diet when staying at Llewellin's! They are also great at recommending restaurants and will help arrange for reservations and tours to the smaller more private vineyards so don't forget to talk to them about your preferences! They have the most adorable little dog, Lillie, who patters around doing her own thing without bothering the guests much. Trust me, I am terrified of dogs but actually took a liking to Lillie!

The rooms are cosy and clean, very tastefully furnished and spacious. Bathrooms are new and modern. There's a patio where you can enjoy after dinner wine / chats with your neighbours and hosts. They also prepare a bbq pit in the garden should you be interested to buy your own meats - for your own barbie dinner.

Though not right smack in the center, it is not very far from the center of town and the beach - possibly about 5-10 minutes drive to both.

I will definitely come back!
