We truly enjoyed our 2 night ( too short) stay here. Our room was very clean with comfortable bed/bedding. The breakfasts in the garden were delicious and Bella, the dog added to the lovely experience. Our hosts were so helpful and gave us invaluable info on the local area from restaurants to beaches to wineries and my favorite- the ice cream spots.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Walcliffe Room and it was fantastic.

Dear Julie, Thanks for your lovely review. There are two icecreameries in the region, Millers and Simmo's. One has the best ice cream in the world and the other is the world's second best. Unfortunately, deciding which one is the best requires constant re-testing and I still haven't made up my mind. Regards, Dirk.

From an abundance of accommodation in Margaret River, we chose this tucked-away B&B in the Bush, 5 or so kms from the town. We were warmly welcomed by our French hostess and her endearing labradoodle Bella; our room, comprising an adequate bedroom and large bathroom with spa tub was fine and all four guests were afforded an atrium-like lounge stocked with books, coffee and tea facilities and tv. We enjoyed breakfast in the garden (with Bella) and left rested and satisfied. Recommended.

Small details - the spa is so large that even if you only use hot water by the time it is full the water is cooling! The bedroom we used (last on left) could have a repaint.

Dear John, Thanks for your review. You noted the room you stayed in could do with a repaint. As part of our inspection by AAA Tourism we cleaned and touched up the paintwork in all the rooms. The inspector renewed our high 4.5 stars rating of which we are very proud. One of the problems of the new safety rules for bathrooms is the water temperature is regulated to be no higher than 50 degrees so people can't be scalded. However, when you run the pump in the spa-bath, it has a water heater that keeps the water temperature just perfect. Regards, Dirk and Pam

Perfect little spot just outside Margaret River. Just five minutes from Prevelly Beach and Margaret River township, close to wineries and all attractions. Set amongst the forest, our room was lovely and peaceful and looked over the garden and adjacent forest, we even saw kangaroos in the evening. Loaring Place has a lovely feel about it and we would certainly recommend for a weekend break away and will visit again.

We had a very pleasant experience at Loaring Place. It is set in the midst of forest greens, naturally peaceful and relaxing. Ready breakfast every morning was comforting. Our cosy and comfortable room overlooks forest... very nice feel! The lounge and whole surrounding felt homely and welcoming. Dirk, thank you for your helpful information & advice. Sandra, the temporary help was very helpful too, and Bella is fun and adorable. Highly recommend for a relaxing holiday stay :)

Dear James, Ivy and Nicolas, We have tried hard to make our B&B as "homely" as possible and appreciate that you noticed this. Thanks also for taking the effort to post your photos. We have promoted Bella to Manager of Guest Relations. Regards, Pam and Dirk

Lovely place to unwind & detox especially if you are from the city. Dirk was very helpful with suggestions on where to visit and what to do. Although slightly far away from most of the vineyards, if you have a car, it wouldn't really be a major issue.

The rooms were clean & comfortable. There was built-in jacuzzi for both the bathrooms. Breakfast was good. Wi-Fi is provided.

Overall, a great experience for my family since it was our very first time in the Margaret River region

Dear Dr Nayar, We are glad your first visit to the region worked out so well. You noted that we are slightly far away from most of the vineyards but that with a car this is not a major issue. Actually we are very central to all the major vineyards but you do need a car (or go on a wine tour) to visit any of them. Except of course Cape Mentelle Winery which is a 15 minute walk away or Xanadu and Voyager Estate which are a 20 minute bicycle ride away. With nearly 100 wineries in a 50km radius, choosing which wineries to visit is the real major issue. Thanks for your review. Regards, Pam and Dirk
