Eagles Heritage Wildlife Centre

For such a small cost for entry you are given such an amazing experience. You can hold birds that are absolutely beautiful for FREE! Great vibe and beautifully passionate people running the place for a good cause. DO IT!!

We were looking for something different to do and came across this centre. The free flight display was amazing and very interesting. I don't think we would have enjoyed our visit as much if we had not been there for the flight. The staff at this centre are very devoted the birds and your entry fee goes toward caring for the birds.

All of these rescued Wild Eagles, rehabilitated in one place... Simply stunning. Show your support by visiting, it is the only way they stay afloat, apart from donations

Around 1km walk through bush looking at various raptors (eagles, hawks etc) in aviaries & then a free flight show involving Black Kites. So, no Eagles involved in the free flight show which I was counting on and maybe they should make a little clearer on the brochure.

My girlfriend and I planned a day around doing activities in and around Margaret River, this place was on the list. At first I was a little disappointed to see some of the enclosures empty and/or run down, but the birds themselves all looked healthy and happy, as most of them have been brought in with injuries and are cared for. I soon learned that public donations are the only reason this place has survived, a true shame.
however the flight displays are mind-blowing! well worth the entry fee, of $12per person if i recall, and its also the ONLY place in Australia where you can have a bird of prey sit on your arm. My missus and I absolutely loved the flight display, couldn't get enough. The guide was excellent and friendly, funny and informative, and we left knowing a great deal on the many birds of prey they care for.
Kids will LOVE the flight displays, on at 11am and 1.30pm that last for 45minutes and are included in your entry fee. My only advise is to visit during warmer months, especially during wildflower season as the generous size of the sanctuary houses many many different wildflowers that would be amazing in bloom.
Oh and bring your camera!!!
