We were a family with married children and grand children spend our long weekend in this very big beach house on an elevated location with good views of the Indian ocean near Surfers Point in Margaret River. This house has 6 bedrooms that can well fit our three generations with a big kitchen, dinning area with ocean views, family room upstairs, decked balcony, family launch with a wood burner fire place downstairs. We had a good bonding time, young and elderly. Perfect place for family retreats.
We stayed at Bondy's Beach House in early April for our first trip to Margaret River and were blown away! The home itself is gorgeous and perfect for multiple families, we were three families with 6 kids aged 5 and under. The house is an ideal setup with lots of room to spread out and space/privacy for everyone, but good communal areas so you can all hang out as well. The extra tv/activity room was perfect for the kids, especially in the early am before everyone is awake. The sunset ocean views from the living room/kitchen are amazing, as are the stars at night from the deck! There's also a cute yard perfect for the kids to run around in.
The location was really ideal, I don't think we could have beat it. Just a couple minutes walk to the beach, and the White Elephant Cafe is right across the street - this was delicious and so convenient for a quick coffee or bite to eat.
There was also a lot to do right in the area, we were a bit nervous to be so far south as most of our recommendations were closer to Yallingup, but in the end we had nothing to be worried about. There were also tons of great wineries and we loved the Colonial Brewery and Brewhouse which were right in the town of Margaret River and a quick drive. A huge plus for us here was that we were only a few minutes from the mouth of the Margaret River, which was an ideal beach/swim area for the children (although quite chilly that time of year in the water!!) and surfing available for the more daring among us in the ocean.
For the kids, many family friendly wineries and both the breweries mentioned were a blast, we also visited Sunflower Animal Farm which was super cute and exciting for them. There's a playground in the neighborhood the home is located in that they enjoyed as well.
The owners/management were great as well, and very responsive to any needs we had. This home was an ideal vacation spot and we are sure to be back!!
