Once again an amazing place to stay. We have been looking forward to coming back since we stayed with you last time and it was just as lovely this time as the last. We just wished we could have stayed for longer. Definitely recommend as one of the best places to stay in Margaret River.

The rooms are clean and the beds are really comfortable. The shared lounge room space is homely and welcoming. Make sure you don't miss out on the daily offering of baked treats for afternoon tea. And the breakfast was really tasty and served with a smile. We will be back.

My husband & I stayed here for a wedding anniversary in Nov 2013 and we had a lovely time. We had never stayed in a B&B before and didn't know what to expect, but we really enjoyed it. They offer a continental breakfast plus a cooked breakfast but hubby & I didn't get a chance to eat there, they also offer port in the afternoons & cake - it's the little things like that! They were also very accommodating.
You get your own bathroom and it was was clean (except for my towel having a couple of stain marks...!) and the thing that I didn't like was that anyone could look into the bathroom from the window outside straight into the shower (which had clear glass panels).
Location was great - we could walk right into the main strip.
Would recommend anyone to stay there!

Dear Lisa

We are very pleased that your first experience of staying in a Guesthouse has been a memorable one and that you enjoyed your wedding anniversary at MRGH. Its the little things that make the difference and we are happy you thought so. We are sorry you felt exposed by the bathroom window, on closer inspection you may have noticed that the glass is not completely clear and that from the outside the window is actually high so would be very difficult for someone to look inside and to see through the current curtains. Having said that we will certainly look at the current window treatment to see if there is a better option.

Kind Regards
Deb & Pete

This guesthouse situated very near to the CBD of Margaret River. If you do not have your own transport or you just hate to drive out for dinner at night; this could be perfect as it is just a few steps away from the main street of town.

If you are someone who lives in the city, I won't recommend this. There are plenty of other guest house further away from the main street which gives better countryside experience.

Room Tip: Not the rooms opening to the breakfast dining area

Dear Jean

Thank you for sharing your stay with us. As you mentioned Margaret River is very fortunate to have a great selection of accommodation suitable for most travellers, we are sorry on this occasion your research had you choosing a position that wasn't suitable.

With Australia's strict rule on drink driving and the danger of kangaroos on country roads many guest like the idea of parking the car in the evenings and strolling to town for dinner where they can enjoy their meal and drinks without fear of being arrest for driving over the limit or confronting our native wildlife. Not to mention after a day of sightseeing its always good not to have to do more driving.

We do hope you get a chance to visit our region again and get to see more of the countryside next time.

Kind Regards
Deb & Pete

We stayed here with our daughter in two adjoining very comfortable rooms. As it was early October it was chilly at night but the woodburner in the lounge created a lovely cosy atmosphere in this charming old nunnery. We spent there nights there and would highly recommend it. The breakfast was exceptional and the daily baked cakes left for afternoon tea were so tasty. Sue was extremely knowledgeable and helpful recomending wine tours and sights to visit.

Dear Bernice

It was lovely to hear you and your daughters enjoyed your stay with us. We are very lucky to have wonderful relief managers in Sue and Paul who look after our guests and guesthouse as if it were their own.

Its amazing what a month makes, from log fires to air conditioners, but anytime of the year it is always nice just to sit either indoors by the fire or on the verandah and relax with a wine.

We hope we get an opportunity to meet you in person next time.

Kind regards
Deb & Pete

First rate, that is how we would discribe this guesthouse. We loved the history and beautiful gardens. If you want accommodation Close to town where you can walk the main street without driving, then this is for you. Also we noticed that while accommodation on the main street would be good after Walking up and down we really appreciated our quiet Location, where the only noise you here is the birds.

Rooms were large and ensuites clean and had everything you would Need. Our host were helpful and at all times our privacy was respected.

Room Tip: Great Areas to just sit relax and read a book

What a lovely title. Thank you for your kind review, we are both pleased you enjoyed your stay and enjoyed the bird life. We are very lucky to have the forrest very close so we are never short of wildlife around, but a short stroll to town should you require a bit more shopping or eating.

We stayed for two nights and had a great time. The room was clean and spacious with a modern ensuite, and even though the door opened onto the dining/breakfast area it still felt private enough and was very quiet. The hosts were fantastic - plenty of advice and local knowledge but not too 'in your face' if you know what I mean. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and great quality; just the start you need when you've got a busy day exploring. The area itself is beautiful too, and there are a few nice restaurants and places to grab a drink within walking distance for in the evening. Overall, a really pleasant weekend away!

Dear Angie

Thank you for your review, we are very lucky that our guesthouse is set up to give our guests their space and privacy and as host we are also very mindful this is your holiday.

I have to agree with you on the room that come off the dining room, I personally think these rooms are the most secluded and private rooms as the dining room isn't use at any time accept for breakfast.

We are always on hand to give helpful advise to the best kept secrets, so never be afraid to ask.

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed our time immensely. We were given a warm welcomed and shown around this lovely guesthouse. The room was very comfortable and clean with a modern ensuite. Breakfast was a real treat. The food was absolutely delicious, and eating around a large breakfast table facilitated conversation among the guests. The whole experience was exceptional. Our hosts were always helpful and accommodating and it was due to them that we had a wonderful experience in Margaret River. I would highly recommend Margaret River Guest House.
