“Great location & warm welcome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013 via mobile

I stayed 2 nights on my own and was warmly welcomed when I arrived late on my first night. The main street is so close - I walked everywhere in town which is really nice after a long drive. The breakfasts were substainal and it was nice to chat with other guests and see what they'd been up to. My room was next to the guest lounge so it was a bit noisy when other guests were using it, but overall it was a quiet, peaceful stay which is what I was looking for.

Old nunnery, modernised comfortable rooms with en suite, great breakfasts and afternoon tea. Within walking distance of town, simply lovely experience. Have recommended to my family and friends - hope my elderly friend and I can make another visit before long.

Well it was very cold in Margaret River, but our welcome and accommodation was just gorgeous and made for a wonderful very short stay. It is an absolute credit to Deb & Pete - they offer beautiful immaculate rooms and the air con. was on to warm us up how thoughtful. The fire was roaring and the guest lounge room was so inviting - delicious breakfast all in all a great find and cannot wait to return. Some great restaurants and a visit to "The Berry Farm" and "34 degrees South" (Olive Oil) should be on your list. Loved a few days there !

My friend and i stayed in the garden room, i had the singkle bed in the adjoining room, it was very comfortable. We had a door out to the verandah and this allowed us access to the room without passing thru the house. Everything was just wonderful, the rooms are warm, clean and very comfortable. Deb and Pete are perfect hosts, the breakfast was very filling and delicious with a bottomless tea and coffee pot. Afternoon tea is super yummy, Deb is a GREAT cook! You are one street back from the main road into the city and walking to the bars/pubs/restaurants was so easy. The gardens are lovely and we even had little visitors in the evening a little bandicoot in the garden and the bird life in the day is beautiful. would HIGHLY recommend you stay there we stayed from Wednesday - Saturday checked out then within 20 mins checked back in for an extra night LOL .... THANK YOU Deb and Pete

"Honey were home" Who could ask for more than to hear that lovely catch phrase from you both on your return :-). We are fortunate to have what I think is one of the most wonderful jobs in the world. We get to meet people from all over the world and of course the most loveliest. It was our pleasure to have your company for 4 days and we hope to see you both again in Nov

If you want to stay in town, this is the perfect spot. Easy walking to the main strip and lots of restaurants, and the farmers market on Saturdays.

The guesthouse is in a residential street leading down to the river. Our room was comfortable and opened onto the verandah which caught the morning sun. Ensuite was spotless. Shower head was a bit skinny with the water distribution.

Lounge area is comfy with log fire burning. Afternoon tea was spectacular each day (chocolate slice to die for) and I had to resist the temptation to have more... (Not required with all the other eating that went on).

Breakfasts were simple but sufficient to fuel a start to the day. The guesthouse would benefit from a Nespresso, but having said that, there's no outstanding cafe in town either.

Dear Perthmarlin

Lovely to hear you had such a great stay at our guesthouse. We are very lucky that our location is so good as you have mentioned. It makes for feel like your miles away from the husle and busle of town life but mere minutes away from the action.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the guesthouse. Comfortable room and lovely cosy living areas. We enjoyed the port in front of the fire.
The breakfast had a good choice of cereals, fruit and yoghurt and then a different cooked meal each morning. Yum! There is also some kind of afternoon tea treat baked each day for you to help yourself to.
Our room was right off the dining area, but didn't bother us seeing as everyone eats breakfast at the same time anyway.
Top location, a short walk into Margaret River town.

We stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Located in a quiet street, one block from the town centre, you can walk to restaurants and shops in 5 minutes.
Our room (Courtyard room) was part of the original chapel and was extremely comfortable as was the king bed. It was spotlessly clean and had a door which opened onto a private section of the verandah. A real bonus!
There is also a large common area with very comfortable lounges and a log fire where you can enjoy a drink or a chat.
Our hosts Peter and Debbie were very hospitable and helpful. They readily recommended and booked the best tours of the area for us.
Breakfast was scrumptious, with the hot, cooked portion changing every day. Don't miss the delicious cakes Debbie provides for afternoon tea. They are yummy!
A great, centrally located place to stay in Margaret River. Highly recommended and will definitely stay again when we return.

Room Tip: All good but we really liked the courtyard room.

We are very lucky not just only to have a great location in town, but to also have a wonderful property which is part of the original settlement back in the 1920's. Our courtyard room which makes up part of the orginal chapel has always been a popular room as it just has a certain feel about it, one you need to experience as its hard to explain. Having said that every room has its story and is equally as nice.

Kind Regards
Deb & Pete
