Never again! Definitely not child friendly, or people friendly for that matter. Lots of problems with reservations. I have never seen so many guests complain at one time. Unfriendly managers who refuse to speak to guests. I would sleep in my car rather than the Quality Hotel Lord Forrest.

To put it simply - I shall never bother to return again. We were overcharged for our room after being quoted a set price and then also advised that breakfast was not included. Our room was upgraded without our consent or advice and when we went to check out we were charged the higher room rate. When we attempted to speak to the duty manager or hotel manager, he was always conveniently absent. The second in charge basically advised us that we had a room with view, so what was our problem - in other words get over it.

All staff have a nasty habit of finger pointing and seemed genuinely completely dis-interested in any of our comments or complaints.

Very disappointing stay which will definitly not be repeated.

And to think this is the sort of service we offer tourists ....!!!!

The hotel, while tired, provided adequate facilities and the children loved the pool.
Sadly, we were given a room directly over the noisy pub and the effect was as if the live band was playing in our bedroom. Staff said 'it'll stop soon' when I called at 11.45pm to complain (which it did, at around 12.15am)
Didn't bother complaining at check out as the staff were clearly disinterested. No response to my written complaint to manager.
Doubly annoying as the hotel was half empty and could have placed us elsewhere if they cared to.
Don't stay here if you like to get to sleep before midnight!

Hotel is in serious need of renovations, it doesn't look like it has been spruced up since it opened in the 1980s. Rooms are quite large but very basic. Front counter staff seemed nice enough but disinterested. A request from our room to reception for towels (after they had made up the room but left no new towels) was "forgotten" even though they log all calls. Housekeeping staff have the annoying habit of wanting to restock the minibar as early as 8:30am. The hotel advertises facilities such as gym and sauna, but the gym equipment was appallingly old and more than half of the few machines did not operate. There is meant to be a male and female sauna, but the male one hasn't been working "for quite some time", so there is now just a unisex sauna with no privacy to get changed. The pool is right in the middle of the hotel, right in front of where people eat meals in the restaurant and check in, so only swim if you have a fantastic body to show off for all to see. The pool also gives the entire inside of the hotel a strong chlorine smell, but we couldn't smell it in our room thankfully. This hotel is way overpriced for what it offers, and in Bunbury there are a couple of much better and cheaper alternatives such as the Lighthouse Hotel or Clifton Beach Motel.

We booked one night in an 'ocean view with queen bed room' with the "Quality Hotel" web site. When we arrived we found we were placed in a standard room looking at a building. When we questioned management, they offered us a cheap bottle of 'sparkling wine' to cover their error, they also informed us that the hotel was fully booked and we could not change room. It was a particularly windy night and the glass door leading to the balcony rattled and banged all night, consequently we had very little sleep. Breakfast was ordered for 7-7.30am it did not arrive until 7.45am, the omlette was burnt, the baked beans were cold and the danishes were so lightly cooked the pastry was raw. We ordered brewed coffee and received cappuccino (I like black coffee!) The bed is like a plank of wood and very old it had clear divets where people had layed. The remote control o the TV did not work we had to go to reception to have the battery replaced. The facilities are very dated.
The only redeeming features are its proximity to the centre of town and the pool being open until 11pm.

Stayed for one night and was promised a "water view". Arrived and got a view of office works on the second floor.

Other problems include, dodgy door lock, noise from the night club below, tv didn't work properly.

During check out, I joined the line to complain to the manager but they weren't available. Didn't respond to my complaints in writing - don't stay there.
