The restaurant has an improved menu and has surpassed the previous "pub grub" meals. With room for large groups of diners, we found the noise level made it difficult to enjoy a relaxed conversation on our last visit but previously, when the dining room was less packed, the noise level was reasonable.

We would certainly use the Rose in the future for lunch or dinner. Highly recommended if you are looking for friendly and efficient staff together with delicious meals.

Don't go unless you like loud, impersonal pub noise and ordinary food. No place for special events or a dinner for two.

Service was reasonable, set up looks good but spoilt by crowd noise . All ages seemed to be here. However our group won't go back.

Have been to the Rose 3 times now and each time the meal and service was excellent. The problem is it is too dark (had to put light from mobile phone on to read the menu, as did other people) and it is way too noisy to hold a conversation. Have since spoken to many people who will not frequent the Rose for that same reason. Perhaps some carpeting, soft furnishing or acoustic tiles on ceiling would sort out the problem.

I stay regularly in Bunbury for business and have been used to being accommodated in one of either 2 quite aged places in the area.
However this trip I booked for the Rose hotel. I'm impressed.
Great for the business traveller, who wants comfort, cleanliness and not all the frills such as pools and massage centres.
The room is very spacious for one adult and would easily sleep a family of four with fold out beds which are available.
The bed is super comfortable.
Food at the adjoining pub is available from 11 am until 9pm, but with breakfast there are a heap of small cafes open and you are right in the centre of town.
Great place for business travellers.

Room beautifully furnished and very clean, but noisy both Friday and Saturday night. In part due to people leaving the pub and other venues rowdily; also the bus station across the road sends out a wailing sound every now and again to deter rough sleepers.

Room Tip: Rooms on the road get traffic noise, and loitering-deterrent sound from bus station.
