Warrnambool Holiday Village
Reviewed August 24, 2013

We couldn't have been happier with our 1 Room Deluxe cabin! The cabin was very cosy and clean, furnished with all the amenities and comforts we needed to make our stay in Warrnambool a very pleasant one. It was more than spacious enough for both of us, and we were especially happy with the free WIFI. When we rolled up to the entrance of the lodging, we were initially worried that the WIFI signal would not be strong or reliable (because the cabins are so spaced out across the entire grounds), but the WIFI signal proved to be excellent! We were impressed. We were both on a working holiday and if a lodging's WIFI signal turns out to be not as reliable as promised, it can be upsetting and even stressful - so we were particularly pleased with the accommodation's ability to deliver on this aspect.

We chose Warrnambool for our vacation primarily for the whale-watching at Logan's Bay (we spent most of our 2-day visit shuttling to the beach with binoculars in hand). For that purpose, we found that this was an easy location for driving to Logan's Bay, and the accommodation itself is conveniently located opposite a gigantic supermarket (if I remember correctly, it was a Coles) where we picked up tons of groceries to prepare our dinner and breakfast in the cabin's kitchenette - complete with everything you would need, including a microwave oven.

We also really liked how the cabins were well spaced out between each other, giving us a nice degree of privacy for relaxation and quiet time. We visited during winter (the heating worked perfectly), but could easily imagine this being a wonderful summer time accommodation, with every cabin having its own little patio to chill-out on with a glass of wine in hand.

Best of all, the prices for this 'holiday village' are extremely reasonable and affordable (even to be honest, one of the lowest we found online for the degree of comfort and amenities provided), making this a genuine value-for-money accommodation gem in Warrnambool. Check-in and check-out was also a very fast, smooth and professional process. We'll definitely be staying here again if we return for more whale-spotting in Warrnambool!

Room Tip: We went for the 1 Room Deluxe, which we thought was really spaciously comfortable and perfect for bo...

We stayed in the 1 bedroom deluxe cabin. We saw it on wotif.com, called the village direct and they happily beat the wotif price. The cabin has a stove top, but no oven. It is new, but cheaply constructed ie lino walls. The 'cathedral' ceiling is a bit misleading, as it is very low and has fluro lights. The pictures show much more space than there really is, tiny bathroom, tiny shower, very small lving/dining. But ok for 2 people for a short stay. Parking is a bit of a nightmare- if the cabins next to us had cars in their spots, I'm not sure that we could have got our car out! And it is a 3dr car! Location is great, close to Safeway and very near attractions, short drive from everything, very central.

We stayed a week in a standard cabin, reasonably new, very clean, comfy bed, small bathroom but spacious living area. Stayed with 2 very small kids, enough room. Also great location if you want to be in town rather than near the beach, very close to centre of town and woollies opposite. Great value compared with motels.

We came from South Australia and met up with friends from Qld and NSW who were caravanning. We had a Deluxe Cabin and were certainly impressed with the Village. The owners were welcoming, helpful and left us to ourselves. Having a Safeway opposite the Village along with many other shops meant you could walk . A well stocked Bottle shop 5 minutes away was a bonus. The Village is very quiet and the others were suitably impressed with the facilities and we all loved the price. Excellent value.

Great Service, Awesome Location. We stayed in a standard cabin with our 4 yr old perfect size. Central to town, Safeway & Other shops across the road. You don't see much of the owners which goes to show they value your peace n quiet. Such a good little village to stay in you don't hear boo from other people staying here. And we stayed an extra night & owners were happy to extend our stay without any hassles.

Our stay at Warrnambool Holdiay Village was awesome. The whole family loved it. Rooms were a bit small and squashy but overall was an excellent hotel. Staff are nice and friendly and the barbecue area is a good place to hangout if you want to use the barbecue or watch television or even listen to the radio and have a little boogie. It also has really cheap accommodation and is worth the money. WE ARE DEFINITELY COMING BACK TO WARRNAMBOOL HOLIDAY VILLAGE

Room Tip: If you are staying with 2 adults and 3 children it is best to stay in the Deluxe cabin.

We stayed in a standard two bedroom cottage towards the rear of the village....It was quite comfortable for two of us ...nice and clean ...the queen bed was a little on the firm side but we slept quite sound ...very quiet little spot close enough to all the amenities shops, supermarkets, and eating places, Macey's just around the corner next to Safeway is good value place to eat ..the pasta and rice buffet is only $15 per head and if you stay at the Holiday Village you receive 10% discount making it $13.50 per head...this includes all you can eat of soup (choice of two) fried rice, dim sims, spring rolls, lasgne, spagetti bolognaise and desserts , sticky date pudding, apple crumble with ice cream or cream. The staff at the holiday village were very helpful regading places to see of interest.
We enjoyed our stay.
