Looks fancy with glass and chrome. Form over function is the design. I bumped my knees at the bar even after adjusting the "modern" chairs. In the "stylish" dining room there is a shelf of paperback books. Some french furniture doesn't match with the chrome look except it is creme like everthing else. At first they said we could not order from the bar menu in the dining room and visa versa. My wife and I would have had to eat in seperate rooms. They charge for internet and don't have an electric adapters to loan for the night. Food was very good. King size bed was excellent. View wasgood. Location away from town requiers a drive to eat out. Walls are thin. Staff is a bit snooty.

Other reviewers have got it about right: this is an OK hotel, but the ocean views are actually car park (or building site) views with the ocean in the distance, and the lack of attention to detail means that service overall was pretty poor. Balconies are so small that you can't really sit on them (and no furniture on them anyway!) For the amount they charge, these things should be got right (or marketed accurately).

On the plus side, the food in the restaurant was really good, and all the staff (except one grumpy old bag) were really nice and were trying very hard. Shame that they spent so much of their time apologising for things that weren't quite right.

Perhaps this used to be an "ocean view" hotel, but the developers have built a large and tacky Florida-style collection of apartments and villas around it, so it's really a "car park view" hotel now. Given the lack of views, there is no reason to stay here - it's a long walk from the centre of town and its restaurants and bars. The breakfast was included but of fairly poor quality. Worst feature was a compulsory surcharge for anyone not settling the bill with an Australian bank card (welcome, overseas visitors!), which the reception staff rudely refuse to waive.

This room was tiny, although it was very clean and in a great location. We only stayed for one night which was okay but any longer and we would have needed a bigger room. Fantastic location with the best parkland and playgrounds we have ever seen. Our two year old son had an absolute ball.

Had a premium studio room. Would recommend that you ask for any floor other than the 1st floor for this type of room. The 1st floor Premium studio room has a terrible view. This type of room had a spa bath. Amenities are excellent with a fully stocked kitchenette, complete with cutlery, dishes, dishwasher, dishwasher powder, dishwashing liquid, microwave, fridge and hot water kettle. All fixtures and fittings are modern, clean and gorgeous. Free laundry services for all guests. The standard studio rooms are smaller and just basic. Penthouses are different sizes. Make sure you can secure a corner one. Penthouse 504 is smaller. Penthouse 503 is big, spacious and wonderful. The Penthouses have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, fully functional kitchen and your very own private laundry room! Very nice hotel. You'll need your own car to get around in the city.

Name change still same old same old, stayed there on business for a couple of nights and was not impressed at all. Firstly the room was small and stuffy, the bathroom had a good layout, but was not good quality, shower let water out ever where, preasure not good and the water was like bore water. The view was ok , location ok, entry was nice and the food was just. It was ok but over priced.

Stayed there during a business trip for 2 nights, the room was small, water preasure in shower was terrible, tiles falling off, noisy and over all not good value for money. Worth $95 p/n not what I paid $165. Not happy.
