We stayed at Quality Suites Deep Blue for two nights over the queen’s birthday long weekend. We had a pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms were clean and very well maintained. The food was average. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The spa is wonderful – we had a massage which was decent. The geothermal pool is great, we used this couple of times – this was very relaxing. It’s clean and doesn’t get too crowded. We ordered room service once, it was quick and fresh. The view from the hotel is great. the hotel is situated at a central location, so it was very convenient to get around. We didn’t use the swimming pool coz we ran out of time but looked very clean. One negative aspect was that the mattress didn’t have an underlay – hence it was quite uncomfortable. We both didn’t sleep very well and both ended up with back pain the next morning. And there was a function on the Saturday night, so till very late there were kids running around which didn’t help either. The staff was friendly and polite and always willing to help. There wasn’t a whole lot to do in Warnambool so we stayed at the hotel and chilled.

As we were on business, we were looking for a clean, quiet and comfortable hotel and this hotel exceeded all our expectations. We first went to Lady Bay Hotel (opposite th this hotel) to view a room and were taken aback by the rude receptionist and the filthy carpets and lift so we walked over to Quality Suites Deep Blue and what a difference in service!

A beautiful young lady, Ashley took us from room to room till we were satisfied with the view and space. Her patience, humour and professionalism was astounding. We continued to experience top notch service from Carlos and Sarah and the Cleaner!! who cleaned my room at my requested time so I could keep working. These staff members, made our trip so carefree of troubles so we could concentrate on work by making us feel that nothing was too much trouble.

I even had a maintenance guy look at my wardrobe for a extremely minor fault because it was found by the cleaners. (Something I did notice but was way too small to complain to reception about.) Exceptionally well kept hotel.

The mineral pool was beautiful and relaxing - only downer being that as a business person, the open hours (from 9am to 8pm) doesnt suit as we are working at these times. It would be nice to extend those hours from 7am to 10pm at least to give us hardworking business people a fair go at taking some time out at the end of the day!!

All in all, this was one of the best experiences we've had and we've travelled alot. The standard of care and professionalism is of a hotel that exceeds 5 star!

I even met the General Manager, Kathryn who was as hands on and hardworking as her team. We were so impressed that we have become corporate members!! Keep up the great work, Australia is lacking in good customer service and you have brought hope back to us... When you stay at this hotel you feel you are staying with people that really care and are from the old fashioned values of hospitality but they are young, hardworking and gorgeous.

Stayed one night - 3 kids and 1 adult as a treat before sporting event next day. Booked into hotel restaurant and planned to watch in- house movie! Booked 2 bedroom penthouse - lovely views, clean and warm. Could not get TV to work. After waiting several minutes for reception to pick up, they finally attended and could get us the channels but no movie service - long story short that's where it stopped. Promises of fixing the problem were delayed and it did not happen. Luckily had our iPad to watch movie! Restaurant - had 6pm sitting, ordered 3 kids meals and 1 adult within 10mins. After 45min wait the waitress checked our meals - half were ready, and other tables had received their meals before us (even though they ordered after us). Food very disappointing - 2 kids meals luke warm. My hamburger was raw in the middle but I was far too hungry to send it back and just ate round the edges and filled up on chips. Chefs comments were 'if anything, burger was over-cooked'. Could go on, but won't! Would not recommend eating at the hotel. For the high price - I would not stay here again considering all we wanted was to have an early meal and watch a movie - clearly this did not happen.

Room Tip: High floor has great views.

Firstly, I would like to express my sincere apologies for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay at the Quality Suites Deep Blue. I am disappointed to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, in particular the movies and your meals in the restaurant.
The movies are supplied by a 3rd party supplier and unfortunately sometimes (very rarely) the hotel experiences some technical issues with the supply of the movies. We strive to have these back online as soon as possible but it is often out of the hotels contral.
As for you dining experience I will personally follow up with our Head Chef for his action and follow up.

We stayed for two nights on the 31/5 &1/6, as we had previously enjoyed our stay here.
The room was excellent again.
However, the venue just seems to lack atmosphere and is bland.
The advertising in the elevator boldly displays "Happy Hour", yet the wait to be served made us look elsewhere for a drink.
Returning later, we did enjoy a drink sitting by the fire in the brand new couches, as was pointed out by a lady we think may have been the owner/manager.
But unfortunately when we returned on the Saturday evening to do the same, they had run out of fuel for the fire, despite there being a wedding expo on.
We did still enjoy our stay as the room and the view was excellent.
The reception staff all seemed very young, but were were pleasant and helpful to deal with.
But just didn't quite have the experience to "sell" the venue to us.
Perhaps you could pick up on a few little tips from the adjoining venue. (sorry)

We stayed here over the long weekend in a room on Level 3 and really enjoyed ourselves. On two occasions we visited the mineral spa which was absolute bliss - well worth visiting if you are staying here. Unfortunately, there was a function on Saturday night and this did impact on our quality of sleep as one of the partygoers thought it a good idea to entertain everyone with a stockman's whip which sounded a lot like firecrackers going off - this went on for several hours. I would have scored our stay much higher if the mattress had an underlay - the mattress is extremely firm and not comfortable! On a positive note, the staff were all professional and polite, from front office to cleaning staff.

Thank you for your review, we are delighted to hear that you had the opportunity to experience our mineral spa.
It was quite unusual for the hotel to have a whipcracker at a function and I can assure you that this is something that hotel does not encourage. I apologise for the disturbance and the group in particular were asked to minamise the noise to a respectful level for the other hotel guests.
If you do choose to vist us again please also know that we have matress toppers available upon request- with everyone having different needs when choosing a matress we understand that some find our beds are not to their personal preference. We strive to accommodate all requests and are happy to assist where possible.

Stayed for one night on Sat 4th May after booking a mystery hotel through wotif. After a long drive along the Great Ocean Road it was lovely to be greeted with such great service. When checking in I asked for directions to a venue as we had a family function to attend. Carlos went out of his way to help by printing out detailed driving directions for us. It's so refreshing to get great service with a smile. Our room was fabulous, with a view as requested and the amenities were good. On arrival we paid for breakfast for the next morning and that was also quite good - quite a variety to choose from. Overall we had a great stay and again thumbs up for great customer service.

A nice break from city life, my husband and I enjoyed a couple of nights here this weekend! A good overall stay, room got very hot at night despite heaters lowered and it would have been helpful having a pair of white slippers each for when we visited the spa. But overall it was nice. Would stay again.
