“Fine lodging, no suprises”

Main advantage (for those who require it) is the hotel's location in the heart of the (observant) Jewish community. Hotel itself is OK but physically has seen better days. Front desk not attended 24/7. Tourists should be aware the tours of Melbourne may not consider this a local hotel for pick up and that you may be directed elsewhere for pick up. Additionally there is no circular driveway so transportation from the airport is hesistant to pull in (the vehicles have an added trailer on them).

We were lucky to get the last room in the last minute. Very well positioned in the middle of Melbourne suburbia. There is no breakfast and lunch. There is a fridge and coffee and tea makers in the room. Service was ample and ataff very friendly. Nice balcony on 2nd floor. Price was good about $120 per night.

I travelled on business to Quest East St Kilda each week for the past 6 months. The staff were very accomodating, always very friendly and highly professional. The room's are spotless and the beds are comfy - I always had a good sleep! Highly recommended.

I took a spa room on the groind floor. Reception was friendly & helpful. The large bathroom was well appointed & spotless. Only issue for me was limited mobile reception unless outside. Ok for calls but not data as only had 1 bar.

While it can be difficult to find amid the shrubbery (typical of the area), this apartment and function center facility provides a quite and functional place to stay when travelling on business. Parking is a bit limited and the turning area at reception is a bit tight. I might have been lucky to get the last of the (undesignated) parking spots. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. The main feature was that it was very quiet at night, being among local suburban houses. I always find it preferable to stay in a nearby suburb when visiting Melbourne on business.

I stayed here for 2 weeks in January.

I picked it because it had a kitchenette and a balcony, both of which I wanted.

I did not have a car, the hotel is a 15 minute walk to the train station, but I do not mind walking. Tram is like a 6 minute walk.

The staff was great, always willing to help.

I liked the fact that it was in a residential area, even though I had to walk to the train. If you had a car would be ideal.

My only complaint is that the light outside my bedroom ( which faced the courtyard ) was very bright. Even with the shades drawn the bedroom was never dark at night. > Hint to management- get less bright bulbs please.

The kitchenette inculded a micro, stove and burners. I shopped at the supermarket ( 2 minures from the train station) and made some tasty dinners.

As to the reviewer that said "Well after I saw the room I wouldn't have liked to pay more then $70 a night!! "

Huh?

Good luck with that.

In summation, it is not a deluxe hotel. Do not expect this.

But you get parking, a kitchen, and a quiet location. And a pleasant staff.

We booked for 3 adults but got a kids bed ore a bed with verry bad spring. we had to put the matras on the floor. We complaind at reception who told us the bed was only for kids so then I asked why they charge for 3 adults if they dont have a bed for a third adult in the room, she didi'n know, it was never a problem. so one of us slept on the floor.
also it is quit a long walk tot the center, or tram. walking distance to center of st Kilda is 20 min.
