Description: Rococo is a bustling Italian restaurant, in the heart of Acland Street. Our menu consists of a wide range of antipasti, salads, traditional wood-fire Neapolitan pizza, al dente pasta, risotto and mouth watering desserts. We have also recently introduced our new Brunch Menu meaning you can enjoy our delicious breakfast dishes right up to 4pm, 7 days a week. At Rococo, we pride ourselves on the quality and consistency of our food, the freshness of our ingredients, and the menu's diversity, whilst traditional- incorporating modern techniques. Home of Melbourne's greatest Bolognese sauce, and arguably it's best Pizza.. There is something for everyone at Rococo

“Tasty food, accomodating on a busy night...”

We stopped by this restaurant after prowling around St. Kilda for the day. It was very busy during dinner time and we had no reservation, but they accommodated us and found a small table for two. Service was pretty good, they had a sommelier on staff which is always nice. The gnocchi was very tasty, I finished the whole thing which is hard for me to do. They top it with crunchy crotons and fresh ricotta, yum! Definitely would go back. Cool atmosphere.

“Abuzz”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

Dine at this restaurant on 2 occasions once for breakfast just the 2 of us and then for lunch with 4.
Had the full breakfast which was of significant size for $18 with lots of bacon, 2 sausages eggs etc was good as breakfasts go but not to be raved about, hit the spot.

Lunch for 4 covered pizza, bruchetta, and a selection of antipasto again all good but not great.

Breakfast was quiet lunch on a Saturday was hectic and fairly loud.

“Breakfast after a night drinking”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

We decided that to cure our hangovers we needed a full english breakfast so decided to give this place a go. From the outside it looks very posh so was expecting it to be very expensive however it was reasonably priced. Portion size was very generous with lots of bacon and 2 sausages. The only thing I didn't like were the beans. I think they need to keep them simple as I noticed from other diners plates that these weren't very popular.

“We keep coming back!!”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

After being a regular patron of Rococo for many years now, i must say we keep returning because it is simply some of the best food around the area. Not living in Australia any longer, it was great to be home recently and have the opportunity to dine at this great little restaurant on 3 seperate occasions. Lunch with my daughter was perfect and we stuck to the super value antipasto (5 selections) simply put... it is very very good and the food is consistent. Follwed up the next evening with a dinner for 10 of family and friends, again food was great and enjoyed by all (my daughter in particular has been a fan of the arancini here since she was 6 and she is now 11)
Followed up again on our last night in Melbourne with another great dinner with my husband where the pumpkin rissotto was cooked to perfection and hit the spot perfectly on a blustering Melbourne evening. I have to admit though the one downfall is the service. It has never really been particulalry good over the years, but seems to have dropped even a little further. I think too many backpacker wait staff here just dont cut it...obviously the kitchen staff dont have the same turnover because the food is consistently good. As always will continue to be a repeat customer but would definitely rate higher if they just lifted their game a little in the service department.

“Great Food, bustling place !!”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

Went to Rococo for dinner this past saturday night, there were 9 of us in total, luckily we had a reservation, as before you knew it, the place was full and people waiting outside to get in.

We had a swedish waitress who was very attentive and quickly took our orders, we chose the selection of 10 entrees to share and it was very very yummy. I had the linguini with pan fried prawns, garnished with basil and olive oil and just the right amount of chili to give it a kick.....being of an italian background myself, i must say this was one GOOD pasta, will go back there again, i need to try their pizzas, as they looked and smelled amazing.
Great place, but make sure you get a reservation if there's more than two of you.
