Description: The Mildura Brewery creates beers that are inspired by and named after local produce, landmarks and themes. The impressive refurbishment of the art deco building houses a pub and function space. It includes a state-of-the-art brewery that is on full display to patrons drinking or enjoying a meal in the Pub. The site has been expanded to include a greater fermentation area and a modern bottling line capable of packaging 3000 bottles per hour.

We journeyed to Mildura for the first & much anticipated opportunity to experience the Stefano charm.Chose the Brewery option to dine which was quite a surprise to the highly regarded fine dining alternate.More a pub style & we felt the food and service was slightly below expectations. The yabby spaghetti was light of yabbies and flavour whilst the beef cheek special was slightly bland.Obviously a buzzy and popular venue we found the decor fabulous but were overwhelmed by the frantic staff who were continually on the run. Clearly a winning formula for Stefano but didn't quite meet our food expectations.
We were expecting more in line with a "gastro pub".

“If you go for a meal, t's the food and drink that counts.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2013

My wife and I booked a table for Sunday afternoon. My wife and I had a beer, which was very nice and I later had a cider, which was also nice, however I thought the food was very ordinary and overpriced. My wife had a salad and I had a lamb roll, both were just average. There was a jazz band playing with great horns but an uuber-cool lead singer. This place tried hard but I rate a meal on the quality of food.

“Casual with quality”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2013

We went to the Brewery because we had heard that Stefano was now cooking there. He indeed was, and he also 'worked the room' greeting customers and making sure all was good. We told our waiter we were undecided and he suggested he choose for us - we agreed. He brought out slow roasted lamb with roast vegetables - absolutely delicious! We paired this with various beers which went very well. On leaving we bought a mixed slab of beers to take home.

“Very welcoming!”

We only had a drink here, very comfortable inside, nice and relaxing place to chill off. Tried one of the local brews which was very good. The service was also very good.

“Excellent food and beer”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

The sample tray of beers ($14.50) is a great way to try the house-made beers. The Guilty Shiraz ($39) went down easily as well. The brewery bread and oil ($8.50) was delicious as was the goat ragu entree ($23) and antipasto entree ($18.00). The bar scene was lively on a Friday night and since we had no booking we had to sit at a communal table in the bar, but it was just fine.
