Description: Serving Australian A'la Carte Cuisine. Our most recent feedback from our customers who live locally in Mildura and further afield say that our meals are the best in Mildura. You be the judge, come & give us a try. Our Chef Shaun is cooking up a storm, with a new menu just started that has a sensational succulent Pork belly and our well known Crispy Skinned Salmon is back. All in a lovely relaxed, modern, intimate setting, great friendly service what more could you ask for. We cater very well for a table of two or a larger group up to 30. We have recently been used very successfully for celebration birthdays, 18ths, 21sts, 50ths, 60ths, and even 70 & 80ths. We strongly recommend you make a reservation if you would like to dine with us.

Shared entree and oysters were good, mains were over flavored and complicated, (salmon & steak) mushroom sauce did not even have a mushroom flavor, tasted like red wine glaze. Also over price, and long wait.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review……………Social media…..embrace it or…....... it is really difficult as a restaurant owner to respond & take corrective action when guest would rather leave a negative comment via the internet. We will take all constructive criticism on the chin & try to amend our menu accordingly; however we must remember that this generation is sadly losing the ability to communicate face to face.
The review comes from a guest who had our famous chefs choice tasting platter for two (which they enjoyed immensely & is reasonably priced @ $24 ), followed by oysters Kilpatrick, & then our aged grain fed steak with crispy potatoes & seasonal greens plus sauce of choice which in this instance was porcini mushroom jus @ $32 & for the partner a crispy skinned salmon with a quinoa salad of mint, fennel, brocollini, asparagus & lemon finished with yoghurt & fetta @ $27 etc (inspired for our gluten free guests) plus drinks with change out of $100. We are cheaper than the local pubs/restaurants on most of our meals without compromising the quality. The porcini Mushroom Jus, is not the usual plain old creamy mushroom sauce & any discerning diner knows that porcini mushrooms are not just your average garden mushroom, they give a distinct & unique rich flavour to the sauce. The diner states that the meal was bad due to the sauce not being as expected, the wait staff carefully explained to the guest about each item on the menu and answered all their questions , there was no complaint throughout the meal or upon leaving other than that the sauce was too sweet. Social media does not give us any opportunity to swap the meal or rectify if there was a problem, there is no mention as to the quality of the meal and whether it was cooked correctly. We appreciate feedback however would much rather an opportunity to correct any personal choice problems at the table rather than on the internet. People sometimes tend to forget a menu is not designed specifically for them and that at times you will make a bad choice, justified constructive criticism is the only way to play fair on social platforms. By the way with regards to slow service - the guest was in and out of the restaurant within about an hour & a half, if fast food is what people are looking for then that is not what we are about, there are local takeaways that are for fast food, we are a restaurant that caters to those wanting an unrushed, well paced dining experience.

Restaurant in a motel. Not a good start. Service friendly, but extremely slow even though not busy. Food too rich and ambience unusual and not really welcoming. Too bright by far. Staff couldn't adjust the lighting to make it tolerable.

Thank Harry B

As the owner of the restaurant & motel I find this review aggressive & unjustified, every guest has their likes & dislikes and we find it rather offensive for a person to leave review that makes it sound as if the food was bad, rather than accept they perhaps made a bad choice, yes our sauces are generally rich on the meals, but without the richness there is no flavour. Our menu clearly outlines to the customer right at the start that as our meals are all freshly cooked, they may at times take a bit longer to produce, what people in the restaurant also don't see is that on occasions there may not be many in the restaurant, but we do run a room service for the motel as well & have those meals to prepare too. All of the staff at the motel have worked hard with us over the past 18 months to remove the stigma of a 'motel restaurant' and as you will see from our other lovely reviews, we really are not just a motel restaurant.
This guest did mention the lighting was too bright in the booth where he sat, we offered to move the guest to another table where the lighting was not as bright, but they declined our offer, we also offered to switch off one of the lights above, but he declined this also. The lights are a low wattage LED light which cannot be dimmed, however we have some table locations that are not as bright as others, so were happy to move them. We trust that people looking at our reviews will make their own judgement on this one. We would welcome anyone to come & try restaurant at anytime.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your dining experience with us. The positive feedback is very much appreciated as we have worked really hard over the past few years to change the restaurant from just a motel restaurant to a comfortable place with lovely food & feel that with the great feedback we keep receiving we are beginning to achieve what we set out to do.

Our visit was a delight. After reading reviews, we were skeptical, however we were delighted by the service, atmosphere and delectable food. It was also very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

It is so nice to have a local review, we often get people who often only get to ever experience our meals the once when travelling through or holidaying, but a local client is just fantastic. Thank-you so much for your review of our restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you back for dinner again soon.
