We booked a two bed apartment on a walk-in basis and received a very compeditive rate.
The room was beautiful, clean and well appointed. The spa and pool area were excellent.
Staff were very friendly and accomodating, the washing machine wasn't working and was fixed as soon as we reported it.
I would highly reccomend this establishment and will definately be returning.

we stayed at the Esp resort and spa and what a place. the staff where fanatstic from the moment we checked in, during the stay and when we left they really wanted you to come back, and we will.
breakfast was great, pool fantastic, rooms (we had balcony) were clean spacious, and quiet.
could not fault our stay.

Room Tip: pay a little extra and get a balcony room if you are staying more than 2 days.

I purchased the Deals offer over 18 months ago and we finally checked in for 3 nights/4 days the first week of February after the school holidays had ended.
I had read many previous reviews regarding this property which had me doubt the value of the offer.
We found the check in process to be a friendly and welcoming experience.
We decided to upgrade to the apartment and they very efficiently transferred the deal offer coupons, wine and chocolates to our new room. The apartment had a separate entry door with two apartments accessed off a small shared hallway. It was spacious and had a bright and sunny aspect with a modern kitchen and bathroom. From the balcony we overlooked the tennis court and could see the inlet on either side. The bed was comfortable with crisp white linen and the bathroom had a good stock of white fluffy towels. There are start up amenities on arrival and the apartment was not serviced during our stay, this was advised to us upfront. Other reviewers were critical of the standard and cleanliness of this property and I acknowledge some of the furnishings were looking rather tired and the carpet required a good shampoo and clean and the settees desperately need deodorising.
We ate in the on site restaurant 1@1 and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the staff again were very friendly and efficient.
This property promotes itself as a 41/2 star resort and when it was first opened that was probably relevant, my opinion is that it does need to upgrade some of the furnishings to maintain that rating . Recognition should be given to the staff as we could not fault their customer service .
We had an enjoyable 4 days and were able to enjoy the spa and pool without the crowds and also utilised a number of the offers that accompanied the deal. The property is positioned just as you enter town and is an easy walk into the township and beach.

We stayed for three nights over the Australia Day weekend and whilst we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay there were quite a number of things that could have really improved our getaway.

We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment for my husband and I and our 2 children (wanting a queen and 2 singles). When we arrived the reception was being manned by one of the restaurant staff who said she didn't really know too much about checking people in. When we got to the room we had 2 queens which was annoying, but we were too tired to bother going back down to reception to make a fuss and try and change rooms. We then decided the next morning that we didn't want to spend precious holiday time trying to resolve the bed issues and pack up and move.

The car park is extremely tight and if you have any vehicle that isn't a little runaround your will struggle to open the doors without either hitting a pylon or another car. With no allocated car parks actually finding a park can be very difficult. Our first night was spent out on a gravel area quite a distance from the hotel and lifts which made getting our luggage and Eski of food up to our room. We also were quite worried about the safety of our car with no security cameras and good lighting.

The carpets are very dirty with way too many visible stains which is a bit cringe worthy and I wasn't to keen on the kids sitting on the floor to watch TV.

The kitchen is well equipped with both appliances and utensils, although the placement of the dishwasher meant that the cupboards around it were difficult to open.

The walls are paper thin and noise carries terribly. We had a complaint against us for excess noise (?) one night which was embarrassing, but then could not sleep the next night due to the noise coming from a room near us.

All in all the rooms are nice, TV is a good size, bathrooms are nice and showers are roomy.

Whilst in general we had a nice stay - I don't think we would stay at the apartments again.

This resort certainly tries to live up to its name and location; it is the first resort as you drive on the esplanade that leads to the beautiful lakes entrance. Right opposite the water so it certainly seemed pleasant. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment that fit us all quite comfortably, not the cleanest (and by that i'm referring to the carpets everything else was satisfactory) but it did suit us fine for our weekend stay. One gripe we did have was that the curtains had been worn out by previous visitors so we were stuck with them being in the same position for our stay which made opening and closing the windows challenging. Bathrooms were clean and functioning and it had everything else we needed: kitchen, utensils, beds, etc. so thumbs up from that viewpoint.

The kids loved the playground and pool area and if the weather was warmer we could have enjoyed the outdoor pool but we were happy to stay in the heated indoor pool.

Because we were in an apartment it wasn't serviced so we can't really comment on the room service but one point I'd make is bring toiletries, the front desk will charge a premium if you need another toilet roll for your room. Couldn't get a seat at the restaurant because it was booked out but it looked nice and reasonably priced but there were heaps of restaurants nearby anyway.

I can understand the comments some reviewers have made about the car parking, all the spaces seemed very narrow and this was compensated for by making them longer but still challenging to navigate.

Overall, it was a satisfactory stay for our first visit to the area but not entirely convinced we'd stay here again (some hotels you know you'll be back but others you shrug your shoulders - this was the latter for me).
