We bought some bottles of their wine which was delicious. the place is very arty and out of the way. A very relaxing place to visit. PS. The scones are very yummy.

Front house staff was very welcoming and made you feel like you want to stay. They served us with a complimentary bread and butter, it was fresh out of the oven and amazing. The fish and chips was nice and the Devonshire scones are out of the oven and really good. The jam is home made. We were happy to be there. Good job guys.

Visited with a family of seven on a rainy day ... at first we were surprised by the somewhat rustic charm of the place, but quickly taken in by the lovely artwork on display, the friendly host and the excellent wines - not your standard fare, but slightly different from the mainstream with character. For us the Gewürztraminer and Pinot Noir stood out.

We came a little early for lunch, but a cup of coffee and a wine tasting later we had not only enjoyed that, but also learned a lot about the art in this place and then sat down for a wonderful lunch. Simple fare, e.g., an open steak sandwich, but prepared with wonderful home-baked bread, a chilli-onion jam to die for and other nice touches that made it one of the best we ever had. We bought a glass of the chilli-onion jam and having had some with dinner tonight the only thing to say is that we should have bought more!

Highly recommended.

Had high expectations of this winery but was so disappointed...arrived to find the tasting area was full of smoke as there was an open fire that was poorly lit...the owner had no appologies to anyone that may have allergies...he was so busy chatting to locals that he neglected everyone else hense the tasting was none existant...we were seated close to the kitchen and was horrified by the staff's lack of hygiene if I had seen this earlier I would never have eaten here...the meal and wine were expensive and very very ordinary...my tip is there are a lot of great places to eat in this area without putting up with grubbiness.
