wife and I stayed there for 3 nights in the the king spa room which could not even use as leaked from the sides the internet never worked the whole 3 days so we could not google nothing in lakes entrance. There was a toaster a kettle and a bar fridge but no knife if you wanted to butter your toast, but overall the room was clean and most of the staff were helpful and when asked how your stay was told them wont be back for the full price they offer which is $330 a night they are dreaming and all they had to say was sorry about your problems with your room they could of offered a discount maybe for next time for the inconvenience.

Room Tip: if travelling with a family select a room with kitchen and try to get a room at the front of hotel f...

The Bellevue is a great value up market accomodation in a good location on the main road in Lakes Entrance. The rooms are well appointed, clean and serviced daily. The accomodation over looks the water and the view is filled with the comings and goings of the busy fishing port.
It also has bigger apartments for families.
I stay here regularly and service and accomodation is always consistently of a high standard.
There is the added bonus of its one hat restuarant serving delicious local seafood.

Room Tip: Rooms are very reasonably priced mid week with great value for money

We had a lovely 3 night stay, our room was modern and well laid out, with all amenities and a great view of the lake and pier. The location within the town is also great and parking was never a problem . The staff were helpful and friendly and we dined at the restaurant for dinner and the food was excellent. I would be happy to stay here again, our room was on the 2nd floor in the block directly opposite reception .

My husband and I spent 3 days, 2 nights at the Bellevue in lakes. The hotel was a bit dated but clean. We booked the boathouse spa suite, and the spa is excellent! The downside was that although we had a view over the lakes from our room, there were no windows, and there was no balcony, so we could not enjoy the fresh air and the sea breeze. As its on the main road, there is also little privacy, and can be a little noisy. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, and neither were the pillows, but it was about a 1.5km walk to the bridge, which allows you to walk past all the shops and cafes on the way. The reception staff could have been more helpful, giving us maps and letting us know where everything was, but we sorted it out ourselves. I think next time we would stay closer to the bridge for quicker access to the beach.

Room Tip: The thing that really makes this hotel different to others in Lakes is the indoor and outdoor pool a...

We stayed here for one night during a month long tour of Australia.

As the title of my review suggests, we didn't enjoy it one bit. Here's why...

Other reviewers have suggested that they had modern rooms - maybe we were stuck in the 70's Wing as the room was awful.

Firstly, if you're wondering where all the wicker in the world is - you'll find it at Bellevue on the Lakes. Our room had wicker chairs, wicker tables, a wicker mirror - in fact, I was disappointed that the lights weren't wicker to match! It was simply like stepping back in time. I mean seriously... wicker???

The WiFi didn't work, the small television hadn't been tuned in properly, the bed was about as comfortable as sleeping on a spade, the pillows might as well have been chiselled from a block of sandstone and the window blind looked like it had been used to clean the floor.

For the price we paid we could have had 2 nights in the centre of Sydney or Melbourne. I just don't get how they can justify the room prices for the antiquated rooms and miserable service.

Indeed, the staff weren't overly pleasant, they were disinterested and preoccupied and although the bar area had obviously been updated recently, the service at the bar itself was poor and we weren't able to get a table in the restaurant despite there being nobody in there. Bizarre.

But it's not all doom and gloom - I'll try and be positive - the shower was powerful and the location is excellent - right in the heart of Lakes Entrance with a nice view from our room. Oh, and erm... the car park is good with lots of spaces.

In summary, there simply HAS to be better in the area and from our experience of this hotel, if not, keep on driving and find somewhere else further on this beautiful coastal route.

We'd certainly love to return to the region but would avoid Bellevue like the plague. I think we'd have been better sleeping in the car.

Stayed a single night on way to Melbourne. Paid a bit more than we usually would but understand rate comes back if you stay longer. Fair enough. Well set out rooms with great use of space. You don't get that closed in feeling. Clean and tidy. Restaurant food excellent but service patchy. Often the way in holiday destinations. When you pay top dollar expected reasonable service. Hotel staff helpful welcoming and friendly.

Room Tip: Some people had trouble with wifi in certain locations. Not an issue for us.
