My husband and two children stayed in the family unit (room 11) the labour day weekend and it was so comfortable and clean with tasteful modern decor. Apart from the brilliant location being within walking distance to restaurants and the park across the road with a playground and oval, it was the genuine country hospitality that we appreciated. The owners (Liz) in particular was ever so helpful and nice!!! I will definitely stay again and highly recommend the family unit (with spa)

Room Tip: Family unit was great!!

We booked through wotif, based on the pictures of a clean and modern room. Instead we got a basic, dated, brick-walled motel room, with an old cramped bathroom. See photos for details.
Overall it had its good points - friendly staff, clean considering its age, clean new sheets, clean new towels. The location is good in that it is close to supermarkets and eateries, but our room faced the street and had constant traffic noise.
An ok experience, but when I book accommodation online I expect my room to look something like the pictures.

Room Tip: Try to get one of the newer/refurbished rooms.

I stayed here for 5 nights in business. The rooms are very clean. Walking distance to restaurants. Best steak in town at the Bull and Mouth hotel. Rooms have free WI-FI and are very well maintained. Staff are very helpful and a cooked breakfast is also available at excellent rates. Great location!

We recently had a two night stay, the receptionist seemed a little disinterested, however this was soon forgotten as we were pleasantly surprised with the room and it's presentation. Clean and well appointed. Another surprise (for Australia) was the free wifi, this had to be asked for, the second receptionist was more interested. The indoor swimming pool was closed for renovation, a disappointment as there did not appear to be any work in progress, maybe it was just closed for that period to save on upkeep. The rooms were not soundproof, I could hear a mechanical noise coming from the room next door all night. I think the guest was wearing a breathing device. Overall it was reasonable but expensive for what it was.

Stayed here for a week on business. I wasn't paying the bills so I have no idea about rates etc.

The room I had was quite old and a bit run down but I think that other rooms are being progressively refurbished. Some of my colleagues across the drive way from me had spa suites and they looked nice from what I could see.

If you have a major hassle with traffic noise, ask for a room that doesn't face out onto the street. The main highway through town is across on the other side of the park across the street. This highway is a major truck route for trucks travelling through to Adelaide. They seem to keep going for very late at night.

The location couldn't get much better. It's within walking distance to everything like restaurants, supermarkets and the middle of town. Your usual major fast food outlets are also a short walk away. The park across the street is very well maintained and has BBQ/picnic facilities.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the street if you wish to avoid any traffic noise.

We arrived in Horsham late, sign said 4 star, once again we want to know who rates these places because this is not 4 star, maybe 2.5 at best. Nice person at desk, advised we were upgraded and away from noise, paid the $$ and of we went. The room had old brick walls, bed had big dip in it and old flower style bedspread, we only looked in the door just felt like one of those places you can't take off your shoes. We checked out within 2 minutes of checking in. They had the hide to want $150 for this room that is over priced at $50

Room Tip: Go somewhere else
