A long weekend trip to Geelong saw our family looking for an Italian restaurant with lots of options.
El Toro, in the words of my 14 year old, is having an identity crisis. The Spanish name and bullfighting logo had us wondering what was ahead.
The menu had many options. Pizza, pasta, risotto, veal and chicken options a plenty.
Disappointment began with starters - shop bought oil drenched garlic bread and dry toasted French Stick sliced up called Bruschetta.
Pizzas had a nice base and plenty of toppings. Salmon was a little dry but Amalfi Coast was delicious.
Pumpkin, spinach and pine nut risotto was tasteless and had uncooked pieces of potato? celeriac? One to give a wide berth.
The restaurant is noisy but the wait staff were friendly and performed their job well.
