Description: Since 1976, Le Parisien has offered fine food, wines and dedicated service to the Geelong region. Opened by Lorraine and Jean-Paul Temple on the 11th of November 1976, Le Parisien is still run by the Temple family with their children and grandchildren now working in the business. The restaurant relocated to its now iconic waterfront location in 1998. Le Parisien is situated right on Geelong’s Waterfront and gives widespread views of Corio Bay. The building originally being an old boat shed still retains many of its original timber features, the main dining room is full of exposed timber beams and surrounded with large windows. Le Parisien also has a balcony, perfect for those long Sunday lunches in the sun. The main dining room has capacity for seating up to 130 people as well as a full public address system making it perfect for weddings and functions, Le Parisien is also equipped with a private function room with a sit down dining capacity of up to 40 people. Gift vouchers are available in person or by phone order. From May 1st through to the end of September we are open: Wednesday to Saturday lunch and dinner Sunday & Public holidays all day dining Monday & Tuesday all day dining

“A big specials menu as well as the old favourites.”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

The food at Le Parisien is to die for. Yes it is expensive but it is a special occasion venue. It is also correct that the menu has hardly changed in 40 odd years but in my humble opinion it's perfect the way it is and the specials list is always quite extensive. I wish I could go there often enough to try out everything on the menu but I just look forward to the same old favourites because I know they will be perfect. I woud not be happy if a menu revamp resulted in the disappearance of chocolate souffle. I can't fault the service or the ambience and look forward to many more birthday dinners with Jean-Paul.

“expensive night for little value”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

I have heard from other people that have gone to Le parisien that they had a good meal.
As for me I found it expenive as the meal was not up to standard for the price.
I may add that I went to a restaurant in Paris france of the same name and it was well worth the visit.

“Very old and tired”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

This restaurant was my favourite for a couple of decades !!!! The menu was scrumptious! Sadly it's the same menu, not much has changed and let's face it ... gastronomically we have all evolved so 'old and tired' is not good enough. It's such a shame that Jean-Paul hasn't injected more into the menu. Very reluctant now to ever go as there are so many places with nice new cullinary ideas.

“One of Geelong best Restaurants”

This restaurant is on the beach front upstairs and a good view. The food is expensive but tastes beautiful - a special night or lunch out

“Has great Potential”
Reviewed April 8, 2014

This once 'place to be' has become a bit tired. Overpriced for what is essentially upmarket pub food. On busy days at lunch, service is lacking. An extensive menu and wine list is offered. Views are excellent, but quite noisy inside when there is a full house.
