“Worth a visit”

Steampacket is fun. Nice, varied menu with some healthy options at lunch, and very tasty pizzas in the evening. They know how to make a good coffee, too. We picked up some take-home lasagna, too, which was good value.

“Great part of the country”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

After visiting this area on our way to Melbourne we really feel in love with this part of Australia and has really made us think of moving over. It was modern, not too much hustle and bustle still enough shops and entertainment to keep you busy.
Great find.

“Pick your time”
Reviewed December 21, 2012 via mobile

These gardens are nice to sit in the sun and if you pick the right day there is often something hosted there like a car rally or there seems to be a semi regular market

“Nice, clean gardens right on the water”
Reviewed February 16, 2012

This nice little park sits next to the Carousel and are not far from the Geelong Pier and the Geelong Yacht Club. An open lawn with beautiful trees around the perimeter, the Gardens are a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the sun and a picnic. On the northern edge is a small walkway that separates the gardens from the water, with nice seats to watch the boats on the water from. Don’t miss the massive and strange buoys at the top end of the gardens – very cool. For the creative, look out for the Steampacket Garden Arts and Crafts Market, held on the first Sunday of every month. So a nice little garden and a great place to relax in Geelong.
