We stayed here over Xmas 2012 for a few days and truly fell in love with the place.
The house is 1860s heritage with a real feel of old grandeur including classic stained glass windows. The bathrooms are very modern and while the kitchens are a touch old, there is everything you need.
The breakfast food they include is amazing, I have never had such good muesli, yoghurt or banana bread.
Dogs are allowed which was fantastic as this allowed us to not only save on dog kennels but have a dog friendly holiday. The owners cat, dog and chickens added to our dogs amusement!
The owners are very very friendly and will happily share with you the history of the house.
This is a great family holiday destination.
I would suggest asking for the upstairs apartment as you then would not have to put up with potentially noisy people upstairs (the floors are wooden).
The location is also superb with Eastern Beach a very short walk away, as well as the botanic gardens. Don't bother driving to Point Henry though, unless you want to see an industrial wasteland or the back of a Aluminium smelter!
