A family gathering of yum cha to celebrate Mother's Day was marred by poor service and insufficient food. This was surprising to all of us as yum cha in other restaurants usually involves the customers waving trollies on as food is so plentiful. At Man Bo many of the trollies and trays were taken straight past us without stopping, and our efforts to attract the attention of the staff, and to request a balance of steamed and vegetarian food (much of the food on offer was fried) weren't successful. The staff were pleasant when we did speak to them, but not attentive.
The food was reasonably tasty but not out of the ordinary range, Prices were high for the quality. The wine mark up was fairly high, but it was nice to see some local wines. The interior of the restaurant is very polished and pleasant. However, I doubt that we'll return.
