Stayed here overnight on our way home. Room was nice, clean and had all the amenities needed. Had free wifi which I think is wonderful in this age of technology! We had a buffet breakfast in the morning and Nicole was the most wonderful hostess and went above and beyond her call. It was lovely and quite and I would be more than happy to stay there again. My only complaint was that the chef was not there Friday night to make the sticky date puddings that are on the restaurant menu :( lol

Room Tip: Always read the reviews on trip advisor!

Hi Carol,

I do remember talking to yourself on the phone and I'm glad you worked out how to write a review on Tripadvisor, we appreciate any reviews we do recieve online.

We have found over the years its the little differences that count in setting up a lovely stay, such as readily available amenities and as you mentioned free Wifi for all guests.

I'm also glad that you'll be staying with us again and hopefully next time the Chef will be in to let you taste one of his sticky date puddings, which might I add are delicious.

This was one of the better motels we stayed at on our Australia trip, but it was also one of the most expensive. It is beautifully situated opposite a park and it is walkable into the centre of Bendigo. It was a spacious room with a huge bathroom (though I never understand why anyone needs two washbasins). Breakfast on our first morning was very good but on the second day had finished by 9.10 when we went down. A couple of niggles - the guest laundry wasn't working when we arrived and no-one bothered to tell me when it was mended, and although I reported that the television wasn't working and the person on reception wrote that down, nothing was done about it.

Hi Dianaen,

Thank you for your kind thoughts about our property, the location and our large bathrooms with double vanitys. Guests continuallly comment on the size of our large bathrooms and the amount of bench space they have to place there toiletries on. I would say its a luxury to have a double vanity in your motel bathroom.

It's a little sad to see that everything wasnt perfect for your stay but I guess that shows we are human as well. I'm a little a miss with this being one of the most expensive motels that you have stayed at while visiting Australia with your room rate being $135.00 per night.

We are glad that you selected our property to use as your base in Bendigo and we hope that the rest of your Australian trip was just as enjoyable.

Overnight for a wedding, next time we'll stay longer and bring the kids. We were in a renovated room, which was very nice, clean and spacious. Room was very quiet, massive bathroom with awesome shower. Lovely private pool. Lovely staff. Tick, tick, tick.

Hi Bernadine L,

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us at the Julie-Anna. We have recently completed stages 2 and 3 of our refurbishments to all the rooms and as you experienced in your stay they are spacious, modern and very hospitable!

At this time of year have the pool is a big added bonus as it allows guests to cool off and relax after either a long day on business or travelling.

We look forward to seeing you and hopefully your whole family next time on your travels to Bendigo.

We didn't expect this hotel to be so good. From the outside, it looks like a fairly standard budget hotel so we arrived with little expectation. We had booked a family room and hoped to get some space and relaxation overnight to prepare for the next leg of our journey.
We stayed in room 15 and would recommend this room to anyone travelling with children. It looked like the rooms had been renovated recently, ours was very modern, spacious and comfortable. We had a queen size bed in the large room with a table for four, flat screen TV and desk area. The bathroom was incredibly clean and modern. The kids had a separate bedroom (yes, you read that correctly!) with their own flat screen TV - allowing us some solitude and the ability to watch adult TV uninterrupted! The restaurant in the hotel was closed that night but we had plenty of choices for takeaway food to be delivered and the manager was very willing and helpful to provide us with all the utensils we needed. We all collapsed after dinner and enjoyed the comfort of our room. The pool is in need of some renovation but I expect that is on the agenda for the long term and is perfectly fine for a quick dip.
Breakfast the next morning was great and overall the service was extremely good. We would definitely stay here again when passing through.

Room Tip: Room 15 - at the back, no noise, large and newly renovated.

Hi AgentFleming,

I'm glad to hear you thoroughly enjoyed your stay with us here at the Julie-Anna. As you experienced in your largely spacious family room, our rooms have all been newly renovated and provide a very comfortable stay whether it be overnight like yours or over a longer period.
I was wondering if you got down to the picturesque Lake Weerona for a stroll as at this time of year it can be beautiful?
We defiantly look forward to seeing you next time you pass through Bendigo and hopefully the restaurant will be open as it was only closed for our amazing full time chef to take some much earned time off.

The room and bathroom are large airy, and very well appointed, everything is clean and functional. The proprietors are pleasant and very helpful. The pool clean and clear. Parking abuts the room. The motel is close to the city centre and across from the lake and popular reception centre. It is also next to the road the odd truck can be heard but was not intrusive. The tariff was I think very competitive particularly considering the quality of the unit. We stayed twice in Dec 2013.

Room Tip: Any around the back,

Hi Boggle103,

Im glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in our newly renovated rooms. At the Julie-Anna we pride ourselves on our extra attention to detail, whether this be our friendliness at reception or our as you pointed out, or cleanliness around the property.

I hope you managed to make your way down to the picturesque Lake Weeroona over the few trips you spent with us as at this time of year you can be quite lucky to get a lovely afternoon for a stroll around the lake.

We look forward to seeing you on your next trip through Bendigo
