“A showcase of australian animals”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2014

I really enjoy going there, I've been there many times yet I don't get sick of it. The interactive experience is wonderful with the kangaroos, emus and llamas. enclosures are a bit small and should be renovated, but was still a great experience. I like the fact that the park is mostly based on Australian wildlife and how you can have a private interactive experiences with a range of animals where you can get professional photography. Photos with the koalas is a great idea for tourist and guest to showcase there experience with Australian native animals. I didn't get to see the crocodile show, but the new enclosure is impressive to showcase the massive crocodiles (so cool!).I think the park is much better value than other zoos in Victoria because you don't have to pay extra for the interactive experience with Australia's wildlife. I really do appreciate the park and is surely the best in Victoria. its a must experience for all locals and tourists.

Great review! Thankyou. We are so happy you enjoy our park. It sounds like you are getting to know our animals. Have you invested in a yearly membership? They are very worthwhile if you are a regular visitor. We are pleased you appreciate our new crocodile exhibit especially designed for our croc Crunch and I hope you get the chance to see one of his shows. Our park is privately run and as you can imagine the costs are very high and we are gradually improving the enclosures our animals are housed in. One of our next projects we would like to undertake is renovating our wombat enclosures and we would also like to extend our Alligator ponds. Again thankyou for taking the time to write such a glowing review for our park.
Kind Regards

“Wonderful place to see animals... ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2014 via mobile

Was there in last nov, after a rather dismal visit at the phillip island koala centre we decided to head down here after realising a day in soverign hill would be too expensive. We headed into ballarat wildlife park and was really excited to see kangaroos, wombats, and koalas. Even had the fortune to see devils feeding and how the female devil outsmarted the male devil, with the male losing his food as a result.

Am so going to bring my kids here next time when they are of good age to appreciate wildlife!

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2014

We took our whole family 6 adults and 4 grandchildren. We started off wandering through out the park although a small park, the animals are well cared for and the animal pens are kept very clean. The kangaroos wander through the park and our kids were able to feed them by hand much to their delight. We also watch the koalas have their weekly weigh in, which both adults and kids found fascinating. The koala keepers were very gentle coaxing koala on to a log suspended from the scales, and they knew each koala by name. At certain times of the day they have snake, koala ,wombat and crocodile session - make sure you allow time for these!. The cafe provides well priced meals though we took a picnic lunch but had a coffee at the cafe before
we left the park. Toilets clean and we found the staff very friendly. Great photo opportunities everywhere and a tourist delight - if short on time in Australia you can see all our native animals here!!

“mingle with kangaroos”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2014

While this is a small park, there are many free roaming kangaroos that eat out of your hand (buy food at entrance, though). They are very gentle and even toddlers are safe with them. If you have your photo taken with the koalas, you can pet and cuddle them beforehand, and the photo quality is excellent.

If you like to play with kangaroos, feed them and also have a look at koalas, venom snakes, Aligators and other animals from close point of view, then you shoudl visit. Not a big park but you can see each animal from very near and can even touch many of them.
