There aren't many places in Ballarat you can take your dog in a caravan. Actually only two. I we stayed here in April 2011 for 2 nights and found it nice.
I get the impression it's a work in progress. The bathrooms has dated fittings, but clean. The music while you have a shower is a nice touch. It has a new beautiful pool, but there are other parts of the park, eg the putt putt course, that looks like it's been pillaged by Vikings.
There is a HUGE camping area, that is stunning. Neighbouring semi rural properties it has nice views and expanses of green grass (well was then). It's vastness is something I have not encounted elsewhere.
If taking your dog, you aren't allowed to leave the park without your hairy pal in tow, which can put the spanner in the works if you want to visit the wildlife park. I can however see why the rule was put there, as no one wants to listen to a lonely dog yip away in someones van all day.
Owners are nice and approachable. I'd go again
