We came here on the train and strolled down Lydiard street. It is a beautifully preserved streetscape from the 1880s. Very interesting buildings. According to our guide, the end of the street near the station had the surface level raised by about one storey. Have a walk along both sides and from the station to the university so that you get the whole picture.
