I loved that the bar wasn't a sports bar with some kitch heritage stuff thrown on top. It was a good ole English style pub and we were lucky enough to meet the owner who graciously got a fire roaring in the 'lodge' area behind the main bar and restaurant. Just what we wanted with a Guinness on tap after a flight and enduring cold weather outside. We also got to try some homemade 'nuts and bolts' which I'd never heard of before. Delicious!
We went back in the morning for breakfast and the food was really good. I loved the baked persian eggs. Perfect start to a winters day.
