We were visiting Launceston staying at a lovely B&B called INVERCARGILL just down the road was Pickled and our host recommended it, she was spot on after a day of driving as soon as we stepped inside they made us welcome, they had a reasonable list of wines available including Tasmania ones.
The food was very tasty and well portioned we really enjoyed our dinner.
There was a constant stream of dinners and take awayers, given it was Tuesday night we are obviously not alone in our view.

Haven't dined here for a while but not because of affordability just availability on our part. Had a 7.30 reservation was out 2 courses by 8.45pm. Service very good and quick as usual never had slow service there. Had the samosa to start not oily or dry 4 small ones with a sauce. Mains butter chicken full of flavour and thick not a watered down sauce and lamb madras also full of flavour. The naan bread was huge and cooked beautifully and rice fluffy. We have a pickled evenings card so receive a 10% discount off the bill automatically and those cards are issued free. Will return a very cheap meal even before the discount.

My partner and myself are vegans and we were pleasantly surprised that our dietary requirements were easily met. The restaurant was clean and the staff very friendly and polite. The curry we had was delicious, however we would have liked to have seen more fresh produce. Great value for money and we will return.

I am visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this place. The service was friendly, the food came out very quickly and was so so tasty. I had the lamb shank and the palak paneer. The shank was falling off the bone and the paneer was really fresh and flavoursome. Tried a local Tassie wine as well which was also great. Only thing I would do different would be asking for extra chilli. The curries weren't hot.
