This lovely restaurant is located on the banks of the junction of the Tamar and South Esk Rivers. The water view at sunset is very pleasant. The upstairs room is great for a group dining (which we did) and the service excellent – one of the best dinners I have had in a long time. The décor is most attractive and parking easy. The variety and quality of food is superb. The local oysters were wonderful and the entrée of seared scallops with potato foam absolutely wonderful. I had for the main course the Trevalla, which was beautifully cooked and presented. Portion sizes are just right. The wine list is extensive and first-rate – the Tasmanian Home Hill Pinot Noir I can thoroughly recommend. We all enjoyed our dishes and wines – for 8 friends a great coup, not one disappointed person. A lovely night – worth booking if you are in Launceston.
