A beautiful park for people of all ages. Kids will love the train as well as the Macaque monkeys who are very humourous. The John Hart Conservatory is a great spectucale featuring plants from all over the world. City Park host many of Launceston's events such as the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and Festivale.

The pretend train was just what 2 septegenerians needed to see all the parks aspects, but the driver turned out to have a most interesting knowledge of the history and variety of plants and trees in the park.
The Macaque monkey display was quite humerous and very well presented.
Some of the plants were outstanding and substantially different from most of the plants of Queensland. The orchids were exceptional. Its cheap and well worth a stroll through the park and even a ride on the train. The kids will love it

Beautiful spot, amazing monkeys in an enclosure that is free to visit, they were so playful and funny to watch. Beautiful spot for a picnic lunch.
