We stayed for 2 nigths in a 1 bdrm riverview suite. The sofa bed was made up for our 3 year old free of charge and there was plenty of room for our family of 3 in the suite. The main bedroom has a door you can close which is good if you need to put your little ones to bed before you. We had planned to have room service for dinner but the menu looked a bit fancy/posh for what we felt like on the night so we didn't end up trying it. I did note there was was a $5 delivery fee on top of the listed menu item prices which were not cheap although it was food from the fine dining Mudd restaurant so I guess thats the reason for the prices.

Parking was $5/night in the spaces outside the hotel. It is part of a public (payable) car park so you get a ticket from the front desk so you don't get fined & pay the parking on check out.

Nice bedding and pillows & the suites have a golf putter & roll up piece of fake turf for putting practice which was something fun to have a play with in the room. Kitchen was large & roomy with a full size fridge which is handy for families. The front desk staff were friendly & very happy to help with maps & directions to all sorts of places and they went to a bit of trouble to find out where we could drive to & show my son some snow which was really appreciated as we didn't want a long drive & no snow LOL. The view was pretty with the boats on the water right outside but the high power orange light outside the room was a bit annoying as the curtains didn't 100% block it out. Other than that minor thing - great hotel would stay again. Also complementary cookies at the front desk were a bit hit with my son.

We stayed for 2 nights, staff on reception were helpful but lacked knowledge of the area and places to go. The room on the second floor was great with a lovely view over the boats and the hills and very spacious although the bathroom could have been a lot cleaner if you look closely. The restaurant was very nice too, the food was great, we loved the lamb parpadelle. We had breakfast in the cafe, the coffee is too milky due to the cups being too big. Also the Hollandaise sauce on eggs comes out of a packet and you can taste it.

Very nice hotel with modern clean rooms. Staff pleasant and helpful. Unlike other peppers locations that i have stayed in this is just a hotel and not a resort. There is no one at the reception overnight between 11pm and 7am.

A very plesant stay
RECEPTION: Friendly staff. Newspapers available. Fresh crisp apples when we checked in and in the evening cookies were available for us to help ourselves. Staff were helpful in locating a restaurant for us we didn't know the name of. Check in and out was quick and no fuss.
ACCOMMODATION - General. A small vestibule off the main corridor led to our room and the room next door. It provided separation from the hallway I guess. .The room was divided into sleeping and lounge area. It was modern and stylish. We had a river view and this seems the best pick as it was quiet and had an OK view. No balcony for us but some others on this side did.
SLEEPING:King bed was very comfy and the doona not too hot. We usually rip them right off the bed but this was a light one which for Tasmania seems a little strange.
LOUNGE: Comfy lounge to hang or watch TV. Mini bar with everything you need and had bowls, plates, cutlery etc if you wanted to bring your own breakfast or get a takeaway meal.
BATHROOM: nowhere to put your shampoo etc in the shower except the floor but otherwise the bathroom was fine. Very roomy. The hairdryer which was provided couldn't cope with my volume of hair and conked out mid drying.
PARKING: The hotel provided a ticket to display on the public parking area outside the hotel.

The hotel is reasonably well located for seeing the area and has a nice situation on the waterfront. Front desk staff was rude but hotel had a nice lobby. Our room faced the parking lot and thus the hotel's waterfront location was lost on us. Rooms are very modern in decor and nicely appointed.

This is a good hotel but certainly not in the luxury category that we expected. Nice adjacent coffee shop for breakfast and a good fish n chips place around the corner.

This is a well situated, comfortable hotel with very well appointed, pleasant rooms, great service and a pretty good restaurant. We also stayed in another hotel in Launceston which was around the same price and also a chain, but the experience was nowhere near as good.

This hotel has some stand out problems:
- many of the rooms (inlcuding mine) have large windows that are facing the highway, which is steps away- more like a motor inn than a nice hotel
- the reception closes so there is no one to contact for help/questions in the late evening or before 7am
- no newspaper provided
- no bathtub even though there is plenty of room for one
On the positive side - the room is clean and nicely decorated but this in no way makes up for the above items that you expect as standard from a decent hotel
