“Don't bother unless you've got several hours to kill!”
Reviewed May 10, 2013 via mobile

Well what can I say?! A year after visiting and receiving extremely poor service (waited 30 minutes to order, over an hour for the average but over priced food - meanwhile the kids had fallen asleep) we decided to give it a second chance. What a mistake. We deliberately booked a table. We arrived and after 15 minutes we were told ther would be a delay with the mains as they were busy. After a further 15 minutes the waitress approached to take the kids order - when we tried to place our order we were told we couldn't as there was a backlog in the kitchen. We were told we couldn't order for 30 minutes!
If you can't cope - DONT TAKE THE BOOKING!
There will not be a third chance.
There are far nicer restaurants - try Cataract Bistro just down the road!

“amazing food and great service”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

This is some of the best food i have had at a restaurant in Launceston in a long time! Our table of 7 had either steak or seafood and all was cooked to perfection. Our meals took a long time to come out and the waitresses were very apologetic and gave us some complimentary bread (which was very appreciated). Meals also came with a little extra because of the long wait. The service was fantastic and we could not fault any of the 3 waitresses that served our table. All did it with a smile and were happy to have a laugh with us - nice to come across some with a bit of personality! We had 3 deserts at the table - the picks being the sticky date pudding and the vanilla bean creme brulee - AMAZING! Highly recommend it here and we will definitely be returning

“Great seafood meal would recommend”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Staying the the Motel above the restaurant ideally placed for us, liked the menu so booked a few hours in advance, glad we did place got packed. My wife and I shared two platters (for 1) a seafood platter and a special, the special also had a variety of seafood though generally different to what was on the seafood platter, for example both had raw oysters but the special they were in vodka and wasabi (I thnk) were the seafood platter they were natural. We ordered an excellent bottle of Pinot Noir to go with it (I know red wine with seafood), which was well priced at around $35. The service was fast freindly and effiecient though we never felt rushed which is a big thing with me.

Great meal, great price, good sevice would highly recommend.

“Lovely food”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

we went to this place for dinner and the food was delicious. My husband had the Tasmanian salmon while I opted to have the mixed grill which you cooked yourself. It was a fantastic idea. The staff were very friendly and knew exactly what they were talking about.
Only minor criticism is that the menus need updating having N/A written in blue Biro next to the wines that are not available looks unprofessional.
Apart from that would recommend this place
