Description: Salsa tapas wine bar is a great restaurant located at Seaport overlooking the Marina. Eat inside with multiple choices of seating from booths, couch areas, bar seating or traditional table seating or alfesco over looking the marina. At Salsa we adopt the Spanish way of eating, taking the time to enjoy many different flavours over a period of time with family and friends. We use quality, fresh ingredients sourced locally whenever possible and change some menu choices seasonally.Enjoy the experience in our relaxed restaurant where we always strive for great food and service.

“So good we went back within 3 days”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

It was New Year's Eve and we were running out options in Launceston. We happened upon Salsa in Seaport and were greeted with genuine friendliness when we asked if there was a table for two. It was very busy and we received first class service and food. We enjoyed the variety and interesting tapas dishes so much we booked and returned 2 nights later - we were not disappointed as the staff were again attentive and friendly and the food superb! Worth a visit - if not several.

“Very pleasant”

As a solo traveller I felt very comfortable here. Food was great and it was fun to be served by a fellow Canadian.

“Good riverside location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2014

Good menu, but a bit over priced. Service was reasonable up until we got our bill, then no-one would take our money(we waited for 10 minutes), so we had to walk up to the cashier and make it very obvious that we wanted to pay. Up until this point service was helpful, but a little slow.

“One of the friendliest restaurants in town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2014

We arrived after 8.30pm after being turned away from another venue. The restaurant was extremely busy but they squeezed us in with a smile. The menu arrived within 2 minutes along with some table water. Choices were discussed with us from a good selection and nothing was too much trouble. The manager had time for a talk later and asked all about us. Food and wine were excellent with the Trio of Fillet being a stand out. We left a good hour and a half later completely satisfied. We showed up 2 days later for breakfast and found the same staff working. We were remembered and again treated like long last friends. Breakfast choices again were plentiful and the food arrived hot and well cooked. Husband loved the Tin Soldiers (eggs with toast) and the coffee and tea were great. Couldn't recommend Salsa more for any occassion.

“Great for snacks and a drink”

Situated right on the docks and boardwalk of the Tamar River, Salsa has a nice selection of food and wines and is a great spot for breakfast or a late sunny afternoon break.
