We visit Cataract Gorge nearly everytime we are in Launceston. Whilst it doesn't change from year to year, it is a relaxing place to visit. We chose to walk from the CBD this trip and found it quite easy. Visitors can walk arouind on the many easy walking track or sinly sit in the cafe and enjoy the views.

A great 30 minute walk from the city centre along the nature path (from Kings Bridge), stop for a coffee, then catch the chairlift across the gorge for amazing views and then walk back into town from the other side through the suburban side.

I could not believe that so close to the city was this naturally beautiful gorge and park area. We did the walk around the small circuit, great gardens, just a gorgeous place to see.

We spent a whole day here, there's just so much to see. Loved it. We just took our time and explored. We love how close it is to the city centre.

This walk and area of relaxation provides outstanding facilities. The chairlift take one over the area to give outstanding views. In summer the swimming pool and cafe must give great pleasure of the local people
