OH and I visited the revamped gallery in town as we'd never been there before. We had visited the Inveresk site on a previous trip. We were impressed. Admission is free (donation encouraged).
After a very satisfying light lunch in the cafe (lots of gluten free options) we spent about 2 hours looking through the gallery. There was a travelling exhibition by a landscape artist I hadn't previously heard of (William Charles Piguenit) that was outstanding and an excellent exhibition of Tasmanian wilderness photography. We also found the standing exhibition of old Chinese temples interesting.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would happily visit again.
