Staff were very friendly and accomodating. We upgraded to the spa room on the last night as a treat and staff were happy to move our things whilst we were out enjoying our day. Don't think many hotels would be as accomodating. Even moved our fridge items. Very comfy beds and excellent facilities. Restaurant food was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Made our Launceston stay very enjoyable and would happily return. Definately 10/10

Big rooms, funky furniture in Charles Street just opposite the Launceston General Hospital. Even though building work was going on, the double glazing on what were very big windows was highly effective. Best of all, the inhouse restaurant was excellent. Their wine list showcased some great Tassie wines and there were some interesting boutique beers and ciders. My lamb main was best lamb I'v eaten for a while. I had to go to a meeting at the opposite end of the city (Magistrates Court) and it was a very easy 10 minute walk. I've recently stayed at the Grand Chancellor and the Colonial for very similar rates and consider this WAY better.

Lovely hotel - brand new, only open one week when we stayed - excellent staff - we were upgraded to a king spa room - so spacious, kitchenette, large bathroom with shower, king size bed, large spacious lounge and the most fantastic deep bath set inside the window overlooking the city! Excellent restaurant and bar - service fantastic from all staff - maitre de could not have been better.

We stayed here 2 weeks after it opened and were very pleased we did.
The hotel is modern and the room was very comfortable with a large bathroom (shower only). We almost had a city view from our balcony and next time we'll make sure we get a room with a view.
It is about 15mins walk to the CBD, cafes and pubs.
Breakfast wasn't included in our rate so we went across the road to the excellent cafe called Aroma's which we highly recommend.
For dining we enjoyed the Star bar and Metz.
Highlight of our Tassie visit was the Trowunna Wildlife Park about an hour west of Launceston.
