Was part of a large group (16) which had pre-booked a set menu (of two choices per course). Both my entree and main were very good to excellent. However, the prawn entrees at my table all had the bean salad not well prepared. The asparagus vegetables with the main were ever so slightly overcooked. The waitress had little idea how some of the dishes were prepared, and hurried of to ask the chef. Late patrons upset the chef who was finishing service, and at that point a few choice words were angrily ejected from the kitchen into the dining area. all that aside this is a classy restaurant, with stunning sunsets overlooking the gulf from sea front windows.

Lets just say that the food is comparable to any other restaurant that charges the same prices and is of good quality. However this is totally overshadowed by the poor greeting and service. There is a guy with glasses that greets you at the door/counter and he makes it obvious that he is staring you up and down as if Esca is a restaurant on the Champs Elysee, which its clearly not. Arrogantly he will show you to your table. The atmpsphere of this place is avarage and the decor around the rear is dull in comparison to the front side of the restaurant. The only thing this place has going for it is a view, but how many of us are looking out the window while we eat??

Thank ghnad
