“Lovely hotel with nice big rooms”
Reviewed May 24, 2013 via mobile

Loved the friendly service, clean big rooms and nice sea view. Free wifi in the room too.

Location is about 7-8 mins walk from the town centre where the tram ends at the terminal.

Nice big jacuzzi bath tub but only thing my husband and I didn't like about the room was the noisy shower. The moment you increased the pressure, there will be a loud noise. However since we took quick showers and had a loud nice hot bath; we didn't bother to complain.

Thanks misspiggy1969 for your great review - we are so delighted that a senior reviewer like you with such a wealth of international experience rated us so highly!
Thank you for noting the size and scale of our apartments - it is so nice to have some space to stretch out and relax and not be cramped up in a tiny hotel room. We love our quirky, different style of accommodation and are so happy you do too.
I will pass your kind comments about our friendly service to our staff - it will make their day!
All the best and we hop to see you again next time you are in Adelaide,
Rachael

Stayed for 3 nights in the studio apartment (The Landing). The apartment was very comfortable, in a good condition and great location. The only thing it lacked was a proper stove, extraction fan and dishwasher so you will need to eat out as other than making a simple breakfast it is not really suited for cooking a meal. Also, the laundry room is outside and shared between residents which can be a bit of a hassle.

Room Tip: Each room is different so enquire on their website and specify which room you want before making a b...

I appreciate your feedback about the kitchenette - we are constantly looking at ways to improve our guest satisfaction.
Thanks also for drawing attention in your "room tips" about our very different room types - you are quite right - we have 22 completely different apartments - hopefully something to suit everyone so we do encourage our guests to contract us directly if they have specific requests so we can find the perfect apartment for you!
Thanks and best wishes, Rachael

Cannot speak highly enough of the service at the Seawall. Rachel and Jayne were so helpful and accommodating for our needs. We wanted a couple of days break on the beach front to get away from renovations that were happening around us. We stayed upstairs in #3 Olive Court, a 2 bedroom apartment with full kitchen, a sauna off the main bedroom and most important of all, a superb ocean view and the soothing rhythm of the waves at night. We really enjoyed our couple of days here.... and will return when we need another time-out

Thank you

I had to organise a venue for 14 people for a work meeting & overnight stay. From my first contact with Seawall I was totally impressed by the customer service provided & how accommodating Jayne & Rachael were in meeting our requests. The apartments were beautiful - well renovated, clean, comfy beds, spacious & well appointed. Our staff who attended the meeting could not speak highly enough of the apartments & location. We will be back!! Thank you so much Seawall for your brilliant customer service.

We stayed for 4 nights and loved the location and the view but on the negative side the room was small for what we paid and fellow guests are not kept under control in the evenings, so it does get noisy. The strangest thing was that daily servicing of the apartments was not the norm, I have never come across this before.

After staying in Hahndorf we arrived at the Seawall Apartments Glenelg. I personally was disappointed with our old rooms, but the view out to sea was magnificent. The view, is what we paid for. I feel it was overpriced at $1100.00 for 2 bedrooms for 3 nights. The WiFi was non existant where we were. The bathroom needed a makeover. Water gathering in the cupboard under the handbasin. Someone cleaned it up after we mentioned it the first day, but it was back there the next day. I would say our rooms were average, but the position Excellent.

The "'Boathouse"' was very spacious for 5 people. Apartment was clean, beds were comfty. Being right on beach was convenient for my frail mother. Location to shops and restaurants was fantastic! Our teenagers could go off and entertain themselves for hours, without us having to worry. We couldn't get over how clean the beach and surrounds were.

On a negative side., carpark very tight, especially during peak times.
Ducted heating very noisy, when checked out by Service Caller, the filter was found to be very dusty.
Communal courtyard out back, can get noisy with party goers, good set of earplugs recommended.
no curtain in reading-room and double bedroom to take full advantage of seaviews without comprimising privacy.
