“perfect summer holiday”
Reviewed July 11, 2011

We stay at Seawall every Summer. Myself, wife and 3 kids. It's simply perfect.
Absolute heaven. Super perfect sunsets every night. Close to everything but far enough from noisy Jetty Road. Wonderful hosts that really care about their property. We would love to think we would spend every Summer this way.

We returned to Seawall with four friends this time and took a 3 bedroom apartment. Being the Queens Birthday Weekend - the start of the Adelaide Caberet Festival and the Sea and Vines, it is a very busy weekend in SA, Rachel, Sophie and Jayne were so accommodating when we had a slight hiccup with our requirements and within 5 minutes all was rectified.
These "quirky" apartments are quite a talking point when walking along the beach front ,however it's when you get inside you really experience the comfort, space and I think possibly the best bed I've slept in - apart from my own -...it's all there for you to enjoy at a very fair and reasonable price. Our friends can't wait to return - neither can we...in the words of Molly Meldrum .."do yourself a favour" and visit Seawall Apartments.

We stayed in seawall apartments over Christmas 2010 for almost 3 weeks whilst visiting family and we couldn't fault the place. A friendly family run business with clean spacious apartments in a fantastic location right the beach and an easy walk into Glenelg.
Hopefully we'll be back.

Thank you for your kind review Grub n Grog!
I'm so glad you had wonderful holiday here with your family at Christmas.
We are very lucky to be in such a beautiful location - no roads to worry about with the kids, a safe swimming beach and a short walk to the shops makes it ideal for families.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Seawall soon. Best wishes, Rachael

We stayed in the Chapel (complete with glass wall bricks in the shape of a cross!) for two nights on a Fri and Sat. Our apartment was at the back, away from the beach and footpath, so was very quiet. Check in was quick and friendly. The apartment was modern with a large spiral staircase up to the loft bedroom. The bed was comfortable and the blinds allowed a sleep in. The location is fantastic - oh so close to the beach, the pier, the high street, restaurants - and about 20 mins to the airport. Yes, there are a lot of nautical collectivise, perhaps too many as it clutters the outside and detracts from first impressions. A clean up and a bit more potted greenery wouldn't hurt. The large-ish spa which doubles as a shower wasn't really necessary but no harm done (assuming you gave good mobility for climbing in and out) and the TV must have had the slowest channel changing remote in history but that's a small criticism. Check out was equally quick and friendly. All in all, we had a lovely time.

On holiday from the USA and stayed in the one bedroom ground floor apartment with an ocean view on my last night in Australia.. Just loved it here and wished i could have stayed longer. Rooms were spotless. The bed was so comfortable and the ladies went out of there way to arrange things for me.definitely will be back when i return to Australia again, soon i hope.

Thanks, Parys

We stayed only one night at Seawall and it's a pity because it's a fantastic place.
Location is perfect, quiet, in front of the beach. We had the 2 bedrooms apartment with balcony and we really enjoyed the sunset (not to talk about the incredible sunset light in the jacuzzi!).
Apartment was spotless clean, with a well equiped kitchen and a very design and classy decoration.
Compared with what you can get in Adelaide for the same rate, it's a very good value.

We stayed in the Old Schoolhouse which was really lovely. The location is fantastic so our 6 year old little boy loved it & cried when we had to leave. My husband & I also loved it because we were able to cook our egg & bacon breakfast on the BBQ each morning while overlooking the ocean. What a way to exhale! We'll definitely be going back there but will stay longer than 2 nights. Unfortunately we had a group of female teenage basketballers staying above us & they made heaps of noise on both nights. I went upstairs on the 2nd night & asked them to turn down the music & stop stomping around because we couldn't hear the TV, & then later couldn't get to sleep. It was also a little disappointing that there is no phone in the appartment so we couldn't call the management to assist us with this problem. We ended up using our own mobiles to call them but there was no answer. The only other down side was that there was no dishwasher so we had to do our own dishes. For the cost of the appartment ($309.00 a night) a dishwasher should be included. Other than those few annoyances, we had a wonderful time.
