“Brilliant Bento Box!”
Reviewed October 1, 2012 via mobile

A wonderful waiter greeted us with smiles and amazing food! The bento box is excellent value! I took the kids - they loved the sushi train. I sipped on champagne in the sun overlooking the marina. A wonderful little gem!

“Exceptional food and hospitality”
Reviewed June 8, 2012

I have dined in the Tomiko Station twice, and I can say that both of my experiences have been very positive. The restaurant is versatile, offering traditional japanese cuisine, a sushi train, a well equipped bar, and a coffee station. The staff are sincere, friendly, and they will do their best to provide you with the best dining experience possible.

The food was very enjoyable and I can especially recommend the seafood dishes on the menu. I also encourage you to explore the Japanese dining experience: try a dish you're not familiar with, use chopsticks, or accompany your meal with a Japanese tea.

So for a dining experience with some class and Japanese culture, check out the Tomiko Station and hopefully you'll have as positive experience as I did!

“Brilliant restaurant, brilliant service.”
Reviewed June 7, 2012

We have been to Tomiko Station dozens of times over the years, and it is now close to our favourite restaurant in the state. The service and attention to detail has always been outstanding, not to mention the food which is even better now due to the introduction of the Teppanyaki Bars.

“Friendly service and welcome food.”
Reviewed May 10, 2012

We had been turned away by a neighbouring Greek restaurant who said at 21.15 that the kitchen was closed and advised us to drive 25 minutes into the city centre to find a restaurant open at that time of night. We were pleased to find a neighbouring Japanese that seemed only too pleased to find a table for us and continued to serve customers well beyond 22.30. The food was good and the wine reasonable.
I would certainly return and am somewhat surprised by the unfortunate experiences your other reviewers had.
I would hope the restaurant might respond to them.

“50th Birthday Ruined!”
Reviewed April 14, 2012

Planned a special day for my father's 50th birthday. He had heard about Tamiko Station and was interested. We booked in advance but when we rocked up they weren't ready for us and had to come back in half an hour. Fair enough. But then we had to wait for more then an hour and a half till they actually took our order let alone started cooking for us. Even our drink orders took more then 45 mins and multiple reminders to arrive. Halfway through some other patrons came who were clearly friends with the owner weren't happy with where they would have to sit and they made us split up our group to accommodate them. Food was okay, waiting staff were as friendly as they could be, but the resturaunt is clearly mismanaged with an owner that lacks leadership (when we came to complain he didn't want to listen and just handed us back to the wait staff). You only get to have one 50th birthday and Tamiko Station made it one to remember for all the wrong reasons! Please don't go here! There are so many nicer places to eat at the Marina!
