“Nice and quiet”
Reviewed March 20, 2014

The festivals are over and Glenelg is a bit more quiet for the moment. It's very nice walking along the beach front, on sunny or even on windy days.

“Busier than other beaches”
Reviewed March 7, 2014

Visited Glenelg in march 2014 first time in 20yrs,new trams new restaurants, but still lovely beach and pier. This is probably one off the busiest beaches along this coast. You will not be short of bars restaurants and coffee shops although you may pay a little more in this tourist area.If you want a beach to yourself just go next door to Henley beach we spent the day there and apart from the odd dog walker we where on our own,The parking is free at Henley but will have to pay ay Glenelg.

Nice strolling distance and pleasant even on a windy day. Very popular with kids jetty jumping into the water. Nice.

“Don't like Glenelg”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

Reminds me of a busy, tacky English sea side town (granted, weather will be better!). Beach is ok but nothing special by Australian standards.
