“A Hidden Delight”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

We visited Veraison for my birthday for the first time & immediately were made to feel welcome by the owner & our waiter, Andrew. He was very friendly & guided us with both wine & food choices throughout the night, as neither me or my husband are very experienced in wine or fine dining. The food was delicious & the degustation meals complimented each other perfectly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxed & warm. The music adds a cheerful tone. All in all, it was a great experience. Great service alone is hard to find these days, let alone a restaurant that excels in all areas of dining. I will be recommending this restaurant to anyone who will listen!

“Bastille Day Degustation, Vive la difference!”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

Having been to Veraison's many times and always having enjoyed the occasion it was naturally our first choice to go to celebrate my birthday with friends. This time we chose the degustation menu rather than the a la carte as it was a special degustation menu put together especially for Bastille Day. As always we were met with warm, friendly greeting.

The Purple Carrot soup with smoked cod croquette was special although we all thought the "taster" of Cream of Celeriac soup was "to die for", (we will be back when it is on the menu!) The Pork terrine entree and the Duck main course were both delicious! The dessert of Brioche with Roasted Strawberries LOOKED fabulous but left us all a little cold, quite "unthrilling" to be honest, the only part of the beautiful meal that was disappointing. The cheese platter was lovely also. The degustation menu is a great opportunity to try wines that one wouldn't necessarily try when one has to buy an entire bottle of it. Not all to my personal taste, but then again...it is just that, personal taste!

The room is a lot cosier now that the restaurant size is smaller however the room was quite cold especially with the draft from the door.

Although I generally enjoyed the degustation experience, I think I do prefer the a la carte choice. The service is normally excellent at Veraison and I have been there when it has had alot more people there, and Andrew and staff have never a missed beat, this time it seemed just a little "off". None the less it was a lovely visit yet again.

“Top of the range!”
Reviewed July 8, 2012

Veraison has brought a much sought after upper echelon dining destination to the town of Toowoomba, supported by it recently winning a Hat in the Good Food Guide. It's seasonal menu is always well thought out and as an invested diner (hospitality student) its always great to see how they present they're food so cleanly and attractively. Great for function and a great atmosphere.

“Food a highlight”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

The food at Veraisons definitely makes it worth a visit. Each meal was well presented and combined great flavour combinations. The portion sizes were well worth their price, however probably too big for diners interested in eating entree, main and dessert. The service was a little unenthusiastic, but the room was decorated nicely and the wine list matched the food well.

“Veraison French Dining”
Reviewed June 17, 2012

We have dined at Veraisons many times. It is the closest we have experienced in Australia for Traditional French meals, service and great wine. We love it and rave about it to all our friends that will listen. I recommend it to anyone who loves fine dining.
