The gardens were lovely in winter and I'm sure even more beautiful in the summer. A great spot for a quiet walk.

“Lovely gardens - don't miss it!”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

Toowoomba is a historical town with beautiful garden spaces. I recently visited the Japanese Garden and I was pleasantly surprised. The garden is immaculate, with many varieties of plants and trees and there are many spots where you can just sit and enjoy the quietness. Sure to delight the senses, a must-see!

“Tranquility...thank god!!!”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

I often go to the Japanese Gardens just to find a little focus. The gardens are quiet and spectacularly beautiful. The walking tracks are easily negotiated which is wonderful as i am in need if a walking stick for mobility. The water features are gorgeous and well worth the trip to the gardens to see. For those who have limited mobility some of the walk ways may be a little tricky to negotiate as the stepping stones and bridges are a little narrow. There are some stairs but they are well spaced but and have a gentle rise.

The best time of the day I find is early morning...there is no one around, it is quite and the reflection on the lake is beautiful. Take some bread along and feed the ducks.
