I priced several hotels/motels and b&bs. Vacy hall matched or beat everywhere else on price so based on that and the other positive reviews I booked. In short, the location was great, the rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious, breakfast was wonderful and Graham was the perfect host. If I had to list any downsides, it was a little 'twee' for my tastes. I know many people like that and you must expect it in a b&b but there are only so many doilies and floral print curtains I can take.

Having seen the other accomodation in Toowoomba and checking their rates, I can only say, choose Vacy Hall.

Vacy Hall allowed us to stay in the centre of Toowoomba, however, being surrounded by the big rap-around verandahs and gardens we could have been in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful furniture and old wares used as decorator items were a novelty for the children to explore and for their grandparents to explain their uses. With friendly and efficient staff, great breakfast menu and convenient location we will definitely visit Vacy Hall again.

My wife and I spent a wonderful couple of days at Vacy Hall while on vacation in Australia. It was an easy and picturesque drive from Brisbane - about 90 minutes. Vacy itself is well kept by owner Graham Higgins and sits on a pretty piece of land surrounded by big old trees not far from downtown Toowoomba. The look and feel of the place is typical Australiana, the food and service are fantastic, and we were made to feel like we were old friends. We can't say enough about what a great time we had at Vacy.

My husband and I stayed at Vacy Hall with a large group of family and friends to celebrate a wedding. Toowoomba was chosen as a central location for all. Vacy Hall was a personal recommendation.
The weekend was perfect, thank you Graham, Lee and Liz.
The guesthouse is meant for old-fashioned relaxation - stroll the lovely gardens, explore the beautiful restoration work on the house or just sit on the many comfortable chairs on the wonderful verandahs.
Vacy Hall is for a peaceful sojourn - the beds, bed linen are very very comfortable, the staff attentive and unobtrusive.
This is not a hotel but a beautiful old home and should be considered in this context.
