Outdated substandard facility. Good points, good bed, and quality room service breakfast on day one. Staff on reception were numerous, though slovenly and gossipy (complaining to me about other guests who were actually members of my family who had paid for a buffet when there was ZERO food out). For breakfast on 2nd day, reception talked us into a buffet breakfast which was overpriced, sparse and rubbish. Slovenly reception sat around idly tutting about how the poor chef was ill, and we should stop complaining. They should've got off their backsides and helped. Chef confessed later to being hung over.BBQ facilities were filthy and rusty, area was full of leaves and spider webs. Pool was dirty.

Room Tip: Go elsewhere. Even next door to Coachman if you need to be in the area.

I stayed here 12 months ago and found the place horrendously dirty and the owners unhelpful. Not sure if it under new management or not, but it seems like they have taken some of the criticism on board. I stayed in a double room which looked like it had been recently renovated. The bathroom tiles were obviously new and new soap dispensers installed which were full. Bed nice and clean and the man behind the desk very helpful and provided a smooth check-in. This guy wasn't there last time I stayed, so I suspect he was a new hire.

The room was generously priced seeing as most of Toowoomba double their prices for Easterfest. I would stay here again provided that they remain the same and that they continue improve their services.

We stayed in one of the family rooms while in Toowoomba for a professional conference. In the industry we are in, all four of us spend a lot of time in motels. This one was by far the worst I've ever seen. There were dead spiders and insects everywhere, the room had obviously not been cleaned in a very long time. The hot water did not work, and when we complained, we were told that the landlord knew there was a problem, so it wasn't the managements fault. All well and good, but we still didn't have hot water. Next, the room was cleaned, and assumedly the towels were collected as if to be cleaned, then forgotten. We came in late that night to find the towels (which had been hung up to show they didn't need replacing) piled in the middle of the bathroom floor, wet, and a dirty cleaning rag left on the pillow of one of the beds. Again we complained, and the reception staff rolled her eyes and told us that it was one cleaners fault. She organized to replace the 4 towels that had been misplaced and told us that we shouldn't be so upset as it was just a rag. When we finally checked out of this hell hole, we were charged an extra $25 for needing our towels replaced. Toowoomba motel and events centre will never again get any of my money and I suggest you fond somewhere else to stay. Colleagues stayed at the Blue Violet Motel, maybe try them first.

Unfriendly welcome on check in set the standard for the very short duration of our 3.5 hour stay. The family room was found to have no heating nor any hot water. I get it, that things break down, but it's not accepteable when your supposed hosts offer no apology or even come down to your room to try and get things working, because their too busy with a function in their event centre. Then we're made to feel responsible somehow because the management now have to outlay money to repair the said items, although you've paid for a room upfront is a bit too much to bear. They had no other suitable rooms and concede they did source us a family room at the budget motel next door for us, as in their words, 'all they are required to do is find alternative accomodation at the same rating', but don't mention it was also at a much cheaper price, with no mention or offer to refund the difference. To sum it all up it was probably the worst service I have ever received.

While the people in the motel were friendly enough, the cleanliness was akin to that of a University dorm. Old scourers were left in the shower cubicle, bins still had rubbish in them from the last guest, and the room was not touched for the duration of our stay. The sign on the door that says "Please make up my room" must have "only if you feel like it" written in fine print underneath.

Part of the deal was that we had breakfast each day, which was fine. "Leave the tray outside and we'll collect it later in the day." 48 hours later the tray was still there. Complete with flies and mould.

What's absolutely hilarious though was that they did enter the room to put in a new toaster - guess they must have selective vision.
