February 05, 2012 - Walked in about 8.30am on Sunday morning for breakfast with the family. A reasonable range of breakfast fare on offer; the fruit smoothies certainly pleasing at $7 each. Bacon and eggs were good according to the wife, while pancakes with maple syrup and ice cream met with the lad's approval. For $21.50, I expected more for a big breakfast with a barely a decent rasher of bacon; two small chipolatas, two eggs on one slice of ciabatta; two small field mushrooms; and half a grilled roma tomato with some sort of pesto. Coffee was fine with above order rounding out to an even $60. Fine if you want to feel good about the planet, but if you want real value for money and a genuine big breakfast for $4.50 less, track diagonally across Ruthven St to Phat Burger instead.
